Ok so if they restricted ammo...
« on: October 31, 2007, 08:16:11 AM »
What would you do?  say they put a vice tax or fee or some other democrat scheme on ammo that raised the price by a factor of say four times as high?

I have a lot of ammo on hand but I also reload.   I have a lot of components and dies for about 20 different rounds.   I have molds for some.

I would stock up on components big time if I could see it coming.

I would buy a lot more serious casting equipment.. molds... dies etc.

being the crafty lawyers they are I could see them also taxing reloading dies and equipment, brass, powder, primers, etc.....  Actually I'm surprised they havent made up some law or reg requiring a special license to purchase powder...  stock up?  how long can you keep powder before it starts to degrade

powder?  virtually forever if stored properly.   even not so properly most times.

Yep..  you would have to stock up but even 20 lbs of powder goes a long way.

The crafty democrats would realize that some would get by.   they would ignore us since they know the score..  very few would bother... very few people are ever prepared for anything.   Most don't even have a decent amount of food or cash on hand.

The store and the atm will be there for them right?  cash is obsolete right?  just like we don't use paper for anything anymore now that we have computers right?

Hey!
Did you know sence the 90's (Clinton time) there are members of Congress trying to do just that? An outright ban on all typs of ammo, that's right and there still at it.

and what would I do? Show me going to those "Other gun dealers" in the hood.

I think another question worth considering is how much gunpowder, at its absolute most efficient, would be required to propel enough bullets to end the prospect of left-wing influence on this country once and for all.

A ton?

2500 lbs?

Laz I think it would create a greater danger as folks would practice less and be less accustomed to their carry.

well.. sure.. it would be bad for everyone all the way around but since when has that ever stopped a government?

any single component that was banned would be the end of reloading at some point.. the exception would be blackpowder arms...  you can make the primers and the powder and the bullets...

and.. what they did then.. they can still do today.

something like that would cause a possible other problem.

Idiots like the guy here in Milwaukee that blew himself up reloading while smoking a cigarette or something like that. from what I heard / remember he blew up his whole basement.

if people not responsible or knowledgeable enough started mass-reloading you could run into a lot of problems.

someone like myself, I don't know enough to safely reload ammo, but I DO know enough to not just go out and buy the equipment and start doing it for fun. You know America, land of the dumb that need warning labels on shampoo.
I don't know what to put here yet.

Well... when you look at some of these bone heads people elect to office I'd say its only a matter of a decade or 2 before we lose our 2nd adm rights.

We cant control bodies coming into the US.... isnt it great that they'll think they can control weapons?

If you want to take out America just leave us to ourselves.... we'll do it for you sooner or later.
Of course, I only see what he posts here and what he does in the MA.  I know virtually nothing about the man.  I think its important for people to realize that we don't really know squat about each other.... definately not enough to use words like "hate".

Hmmm...You know, Lasz, I'd be willing to wager they would go after Lead(bullets.) It's already classified as a Hazardous material. The EPA would come to your house decked out in Tyveck suits and respirators to remove it (and they would bill you for it, too.)

Oh, you could use bronze, or Straight copper, for projectiles. It's just harder to get either of those. And harder to work them into projectile shapes.

lead is readily available.    wheel weights are made of it..  you can cast your own.

You can turn bullets from pure brass or copper or even cast bullets from silver and get the old werewolf and vampire protection bonus at the same time.

If they make ammo and components illegal... you aren't going to shoot much in any case.. you just want the capability.

There will always be the capability.
