Remind me again why removing arena caps is the stupidest idea on the planet and would trigger the end of all flesh?

It'll never happen.

It's a growth thing.

The past few nights I've logged on caps have been 400+ in both LW arenas and neither has been filled to capacity.  Seems to me people are spreading out just fine on their own.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

i caame on 1200 gmt
i couldnt get in 1 late arean as it was at its limit.
the2nd had 14 people in
as for early and mid i dont even bother with it its just a waste of space,
going to a arena with 20 people in is a joke.

Personal i think 4 arenas isnt working and if combat tour finaly launches the  numbers are going to be even less.

The main thing that really torques me off about the arena max settings is how drastically the pendulum will swing in an attempt to balance the two LW servers.

I'll be in the middle of an intense attack mission against an enemy city and the game crashes.  I log back in and the server I was just in has switched it's max cap to something much lower than it had been, so you see like 250 people logged in with a max cap of like 180 people.  Now I've got to wait for 71 people to leave the server voluntarily just so I can log back in and join with the people I was fighting with before the crash.  Either that, or log in to one of the other arenas and join a completely different fight than the one I was already involved with.  That's not the end of the world or anything, but why should I have to?

Meanwhile the other server has like 175 people in it.  And I'm wondering why in the heck is it such a bad thing for one LW server to have 250 and one to have 175?  Why cut the cap so drastically in an attempt to force them to equalize?

Why?---because it's a good idea

there is nothing wrong..  its not supposed to make sense..

thats why one arena will have a cap of 220 and have 230 people in it, and the other will have a cap of 320 and have 40:lol

it makes perfect sense, it been explained a half million times. In stead of spending your time whining about it, spend it doing a search of these board on arena caps and you understand why it does what it does.

What I find most frustrating is when you are in a good fight in one arena..and for what ever reason you lose connection etc....and you try to come back and the areana is full..........ouch.

funny thing is if you do  a search, all you will find is 5,000 threads of people griping and asking why it does what it does.:aok

Correct !!! Thats about how many times this question has been brought up. Take the time to read a few of them and you'll understand how it works, and why . You will understand why it HAS to be that way.

I think the only tweek that could help it is if they set the low end cap a bit higher in the "prime time" for the Euro players. I know during the summer when the squeekers are out of school this would have to be turned back again, but if the lower cap could be bumped up a bit the Euro crowd could use one arena and still not hit that "over population" number.

Of course if you "cater" to the Euro crowd, there will always be some of us selfish Americans that will complain about it:rolleyes:
