He also flew & lead the first B17 strike on Europe in Aug 17, 1942.

He did remarkable things.

Paul Tibbets!
He was a man who accomplished many great things.

Butcher Shop  #41-2578 (340BS 97BG)  Paul Tibbets flew this B17E during the Aug 17,1942 strike.

A fly over should be done for this man in B17s.

I'm thinking on Saturday 12pm PST, November 3, 2007

Dropping the big one in heinsight was probably not the easiest thing to go through and to live with.  He did it to serve this country that he loved and we all love too.

War is ugly and he did his duty and what was asked of him and he had nerves of steel!

RIP Paul Tibbets :aok

I heard on the news that he is to be burried with no ceremony in an unmarked grave, so as not to give protestor types a focal point for protests.

to you Paul Tibbets

I believe he wants his remains to be cremated and the ashes dispersed over the english channel.  this is probably prudent on his part for the reason stated and it speaks volumes about how far we as a society have strayed from the path of decency.

Gen. Paul Tibbets, Thank you for your service.

Well said Storch!

Decency - 100 years from now that word will be considered "old" english and not part of the vocabulary.
