DaGrimVI pm'ing mission data
« on: November 04, 2007, 06:41:30 PM »
I play mostly for the fights, although I like a good mission now and then. But I strongly believe in fair play...and a guy named DaGrimVI (someone I've literally never heard of) today showed me some of the worst in AH gamesmanship. His behavior deserves exposure, censure, and the embarrassment of public ridicule.

This evening I was playing rook, fighting on the west side of Lake Uterus. Out of the blue, Mr. DaGrim PM's me with the following:

29 Goons inbound V64, free kills!.

DaGrim was bish. V64 was rook, on the east side of the map and next to a bish base. I became annoyed.

So I PM'd a couple guys I know on the Bish side, and let them know what had happened. I said nothing to anyone else. About 5 minutes later, the Bish took the base by dropping troops simultaneously from "30 goons" (according to what was said on Rook country channel).

And a few minutes after that, Mr. DaGrim landed 4 kills in a P47. Immediately after, he pm'd me with

Thanks.

This makes me suspect he was trolling for low rook cons, expecting me to publicize the mission he tried to spoil...which would allow him to get easy kills, even at the expense of his countrymen's plans. I sent a message back to him --

"Thanks for what? I didnt tell anyone about your message except some friends on the Bish side."

His response?

sorry, sent to wrong person

Pretty unbelievable, since nobody has a handle close to my weird one, since he messaged me twice (the second time with "thanks"), and since the only names near mine on the list were another bish and a nit. Now, I happen to think that dropping troops from 30 goons is a pretty lame way to take a base, even if you actually care about base taking. But, I also think DaGrimIV needs a can of virtual whoopazz applied to his posterior.

At the very least, countrymen need to be aware that he is apparently perfectly willing to narc out missions for personal gain. The best outcome, IMHO, would be repeated and persistent razzing with enough intensity to cure him of his antisocial behavior.

But that's just my opinion.

LOL I know this guy, he use to fly rooks, I shot him down today I was wondreing what he was doing on the other side, I think he was spying more fore the bish than he was trying to get kills.

He has been in alot of my missions and they never got busted with him in them, however maybe hes trying or doing something new.

Point is, spying is always ganna be a part of the game, and alot more people do it than u think.

There is a couple of entire SQUADS that will  fly on one side but when they see a mission go up they know all the info and they will switch sides and go after it.

One of these squads is apparently respected. so i cant see how u can single one man out for this problem.

anybody remember gettin in a one on one, and if one ran out of ammo, the fight ended with the oponent escorting you home, to fight again

I Had no clue 400 goons were going to show up at V64, I just happen to showed up in a 163 and bagged 9 before so many paratroopers were dropped my FPS dropped to 5.

Amazing bish have that many goon pilots around.

So much for the "health of the arena" theory. Substitute one set of problems with others.

FWIW if the person you are PMing logs off, it goes to I believe the next person alphabetically who's online and so forth.

Whoever came just before Simiral on the roster that night was probably his PM pal and not someone simply randomly clicking other country members to PM.

I've been wrong before though.
