Lephturn's Aerodrome Update
« on: February 12, 2000, 08:54:00 AM »
Heya all,

Check http://users.andara.com/~sconrad/  for my updated web site.

It looks a bit better and has some more content now.  I have a few films up on the Films and Screens page, including Udie's monster 1.5Meg film of his roll as OpFor in the recent TOD mission.  Check it out, it's worth the download.

Lephturn, lookin' good!

As a rookie/newbie, FWIW some of the things I'd like to see (stuff I've seen threads on that I've been interested in) would be:

 - You had some good contributions to the optimizing Windows for improved frame rate thread.  A page on what're good settings (swap file size, what other programs should be running at the same time in the <ctrl><alt> program list) would be helpful.

 - Maybe optimizing modem setting info, too.

 - Replace that big blue thing with a P-38 graphic.  (Sorry, couldn't resist another friendly cheap shot ... especially since a Jug isn't much of an improvement over a Hog
Those radial engines looks best in WWI kites   )

'Course, 2 of the 3 are more system and hardware related, so may not fit in with your Aerodrome idea.  Perhaps a link to a good page on where they are covered elsewhere, tho?

Those big radial jobs look absolutely beautiful to me when I see somebodies radiator take a .303 round and end the flight in one of those liquid cooled mothers

Those big RR Double Wasps were some of the toughest engines ever built.  Don't know what you mean about losing a rad, thought they were air cooled?  Anyway, toughest engine in the game.

Gator, LOL about the P38.    I do love the lightening as well, so when it shows up I'll be sure to put a few shots up. <G>

GREAT input about what you would like to see Gator.  I'll get to work on that stuff this weekend.  Those are things I have the knowledge for, I just have to set 'em down on digital paper.

(SWISH)  That was your original point BnZing my head Udie.    Now I see what you meant.

Gator, ask and ye shall receive!

I've just updated my web site with a Win 98 optimization guide for gaming.  Later this weekend I'll post my modem connection guide, and an Aces High troubleshooting guide.  Check it out.

Updates look great Leph!  Now I have a place to reference someone with WIn98 performance questions instead of repeating myself over and over!  Great job!
