In wishlist I asked for an auto change of maps after a certain number of days. And while were at it AH should never allow the same map in each LWMAs.

I asked for a trial run of large maps in LWs over weekends.

(waits for lusche to post a graph of terrain logs)

There's absolutely no reason(imo) that the large maps should be gone.  Maps hardly ever get reset anymore, so what's the difference.  I'll just never understand how removing half the product was better for business.  I know some guys at HTC read the forums.  Why ignore the 50,000 we want our maps back posts.  It is by far the most complained about aspect of the "new" AH2, and such a simple fix.  I think a weekend trial would be awesome.  An excellent idea.  Of course, I went to public schools, so what do I know?:p

It's really simple.  With the big maps there just aren't enough people since the smaller MA's to make them viable.  You think the current setup is bad?  I don't like Uterus any better than you guys, but at least there are fights going on.  Even with 300 people on the big maps it would be a few gaggles of lemmings avoiding each other, racing around looking to avoid confrontation at all costs.  Yawn.  At off peak times there wouldn't be anything resembling a fight.

I don't think so.
Because now at off peak times, people who want to avoid each other drop into the lower populated arena, where exactly that happens.
Yet most other people log into the more populated one - attracted solely by higher player numbers, thus they are apparently looking for confrontation.

Whoever wan'ts to avoid any fight can actually do it now easily with server numbers like 170/200 and 24/120 (That are numbers when I usually log on first time each day)
So, in my opinion, it wouldn't get much "worse" on a single large two or three hotspots with bigger fights and a lot of remote "sneak" action going on. But unlike now, those can be easily recognised & countered by the whole arena.
Whereas in current setting the lower poulated arena at off-peak times often has only players with some sort of strange unwritten agreement: I sneak yours and you sneak mine...

The only times the big maps in the old MA had a heck of a lot of interaction going on was when one side was near a reset or there was a bottleneck that forced fighting.  It was always a total bore upping from one field, watching a few people die and seeing the enemy totally evaporate, then having to land or auger and chase them to a far off place on the map for the same thing to happen because they get frustrated and move on to the next "easier" base.

I think that's the reason Ht implemented that capturable base design on the bigger maps a while back, to force people to interact.  What's the point of flying against other humans if you don't want to engage them?

For some reason the majority of people want to be able to take real estate virtually unopposed.  They may say that's not true, but it is.  It's very frustrating for them trying to achieve their goal, only to be shot down or having to dump their ord because enemies stand in their way.

If you're a land grabber, which is perfectly legit in my book, it just makes it easier and much more enjoyable if you don't have to fight very hard for a base.  You can take bases, hand out the wtg's, slap each other on the backs and say "Yeah we're kickin their butts!"  and have your kind of fun.  That's fine.  I'm just saying it bores the heck out of me, and it seems HTC decided the way it was on the big maps wasn't the best for the community either.

The current maps are stale.  If not brand new maps, there should be more rotation.

Lake Uterus has a fixable problem---the North countries have a difficult time fighting--the mountain range in middle is a lot like that beastly thing that surrounded tank town in Trinity---gotta pass 11k to get over it---too much of an obstacle for attackers so they go south, which is lots easier (plus, watermelon rolls downhill:aok )
