Multiple controllers?
« on: November 07, 2007, 07:37:57 PM »
Can I use more than one joystick or joypad simultaneously under Windows? Under Linux, I am using 4 simultaneously with AH2:

-- Logitech Extreme 3dPro for primary controls
-- Logitech Precision Pro joypad #1 for engine and props
-- Logitech Precison Pro joypad #2 for Computer/sim stuff (framerate, etc)
-- Logitech Precison Pro joypad #3 for comms stuff (mics, textbuf, check6)

I had to use "qjoypad" to program all of the buttons (48 in all, plus 17 others in my numeric keypad).

Is there some way to do this kind of thing under Windows XP?

Regards,

There is no problem using several different controllers with AH2 in windows.

I use x45, Cyborg 3D and Simped pedals at the same time.
Steam: DrKalv

Thanks Lusche.

I didn't know that could be done. From the way you wrote your message, it sounds like it's some kind of standard facility of AH2. I'll dig around in there.

As long as AH "sees" your buttons on various controllers, you can assign them functions in AH itself.

I have a CH usb combatstick, throttle, an analog set of pedals thru an adaptor and my oooold Logitec wingman extreme digital that's plugged into the soundcard gameport.

AH "sees" them all.  Although it never did see all the buttons on the Logitec stick.  It only has a couple of buttons to switch flight modes set currently, but I could assign more to it if needed.

Hope this made some sense.

Yes peabody,

It can be done, AH does recognized multiple controlers.

I too use a Nostrom keypad (114 buttons) for everything, except text writing.
