Be careful what you shoot at. Most things
in here don't react too well to bullets.

Since you obviously haven't served in the military you didn't understand what the army weeny wrote....You may want to take a minute reread what he wrote then follow your own advice.

Hi Mate

Wanted to tall you how proud I am of you for your service to this country.

My son is a Major in the Army.  He had done two trips over there, Afganistan and Iraq.  He is an Infantry Batallion exec and is presently at Command and Staff College.

I did my time in the 50's and 60's as an aviator with the 101st Airborne.

Went through Ft. Jackson in 1957.  Have a nice run up Tank Hill.

In those days, everyone served in the Military.

I wish you a safe trip through your military and want to thank you for serving this country.

Crap, Sorry to hear your leaving. I'll have to track you down quick so  you can show me some F4U tricks.

Good luck and keep your head down if they send you somewhere where the bullets aren't cartoon and death is permanent.

I got out for two years.  When I went back in, I was told I had to repeat Basic, starting at week 5.  Basic was actually harder in some aspects the 2nd time around.  I was held to a much higher standard than the other recruits, considering I was the only "recruit" with a Ranger tab, airborne & air assault wings.  There was another prior service in my platoon.  We became buddies and tried to enjoy it as much as possible(it was more of a refresher course for us).  It was cool to pass on the tricks of the trade to my fellow recruits that you just don't learn in Basic, only from experience.

So to answer your question Stub, I have absolutely no idea.:lol

yeah, I have heard of guys being out for over 5 years and not repeating.

If u were a marine however, u never have to repeat basic in any branch of service for the rest of your life.

Are you going back through basic because you want to go through it again? I was out for 15, yes 15 years and I only had to do a 6 week warrior transition course...
