Well first off it's the Religious goons whom are supposed to be tolerant of others. At least that's what the bible preaches. (btw not calling all religious people goons just the ones in this article)

Second I don't have to be tolerant of anything, however I choose to have tolerance in most cases unless they are trying to push something on me.
Add to that I have a very short tolerance for Religious people trying to push their agenda on me or other others without consent.

I could care less if they want to preach their message, or debate it on a forum or what ever as long as it's not forced on others. I have no issues about that, hover as soon as they cross the line of trying to impose their religious belief on my rights or others. Well that's when I become intolerant of them.

Doesn't complete secular society try to push it's views on the religious?  Aren't tax dollars of some used to pay for programs that are directly opposed to deeply held religious views?

Careless means it doesn't bug me. Doesn't mean I wont debate with someone about religion or what ever and express my views. It doesn't mean that it bugs me that people go to church and believe in what ever they want. I'm happy for them if they found something that makes them happy.

Hell, I could really care less if the govt uses tax dollars for religious programs. None of it bugs me unless they are trying to force it on me or others with out our consent.

I've been through the whole religious stuff when I was a kid and teenager, it wasn't forced on me or shoved down my throat. I didn't have deeply religious parents that forced me to go to church every Sunday, but I did have my experiences with going to church as a kid. I also went to a private church school once in elementary school for 2 years and then in Junior high school for 2 years.

So I'm not the typical hate religious stuff because I had strict parents and want to rebel routine. I was just going down the wrong path in public school so my parents pulled me out and stuck me in private school.

Even then, I never bought in to it and knew it wasn't for me. I went along with the private schools, simply because I knew I was better off in that kind of school rather than in the public junior high schools in my area.  

I'll never say religons don't have a place in society as I know in many cases they can do lots of good. However far too often religion is used as a tool to control people. Hence this particular case right here, they are trying to force their opinion and beliefs on others via the govt rule.

That is something I have zero tolerance for. Religious groups should just stick with preaching and teaching and stop all the fear mongering and trying to force others to believe what they do. If others want to hear their message they will listen.

I think we are talking about a tax payer supported deal here.. if a large proportion of the tax payers do not want to fund a type of material then it should not be.   The troops should be able to have the material sent to them or buy it other places.

I guess they could just get some from a muslim porn shop since muslims are so tolerant.

I find this pretty darn funny.. the lefties don't want to subsidize or have any mention of god because they are taxpayers but want to force others to pay for porn.

Too many people in this country traded in their American values for some irrational and dull "left" vs "right", "us" vs "them" creed. Anyone who does'nt fit the ideologically shaped opinion mold supplied by their party is obviously a foil headed whack job. Its easier that way, people can avoid responsible fact based arguments that might prove them to be ignorant & wrong.

Imagine how dull & insipid society would be if there were only 2 choices of clothing styles, 2 types of girls, 2 brands, models and colors of cars... or only 2 television shows.
