A really dumb good question
« on: November 09, 2007, 09:42:10 AM »
I was reading the Biographies of Nightwish's band members and I came to the drummer (Jukka "Julius" Nevalainen) and at the bottom of the biography it says "What is the dumbest question you have been asked?" and this was his responce.

"Actualy this is not a dumb question. This is extremely good question which was asked by my daughter Luna. She once asked "Is our house outside or inside?". Think about it and if you'll find an answer please let me know."

What do you think the answer to this question is? :lol :)

"Is our house outside or inside?".

I believe the answer is both... a dual existence...
The exterior of the house is Outside, and the interior of the house is Inside.

'tis a quantum question and the answer depends on the observation of the viewer.

The act of observing determines the outcome - if you're outside then the house is outside.

This raises the interesting question of what state a house is in if currently occupied and being looked at by visitors. One can only imagine that a duality of existence occures whereby the house is both outside and inside... untill the visitors come in for a cup of tea.
