Stampede in China
« on: November 10, 2007, 10:26:56 AM »
Would anyone here line up at 4am to save 20% on cooking oil? Or rush the store in such a frenzy as to kill 3 people? I didn't realize things were so bad in china.

Idio...er people line up for days here for a new video game or movie but I don't recall hearing of anyone killed in a stampede over them. The lack of "personal space" in asia may be a factor.

That doesn't happen in the store. They wait till they are walking down the street.

You think that's bad? Hell, I went on vacation to an "Americanized" and "Russianized" area and to Shanghai and saw a hell of a lot more than we ever hear about.

3? in a nation of a billion people this is news? They lost more in the past 24 to amusing accidents . Of course though the number will increase when the Caring Forward thinking goverment whacks the store owners(greedy capitalist running dog counter revolutionarys) and managers(see owners) and stockboys(see the previous 2)
