Thanks for the pictures and the perspective.  Tell Jake he's got plenty of people supporting and praying for both success and a safe return.  God bless our troops.

I'll send him this link tonight. I think he'll appreciate the different perspectives we all have of "over there".  He'll appreciate the well-wishes too! I just don't know if he'll be able to read the link, if not, I'll rip-n-paste the more postive notes and send it to him in an email.

ledpig.. you have a point.. we should not be involved in every situation unless it is a help to us.

Now tigress.. she might not agree..  I don't think she wants to be treated like that barbaric religion wants the entire world to treat her like.   I think she sees the threat quite clearly.

Is Tigress middle eastern in nationality? If so i'd be interested in hearing her points of view.

I don't believe she is but I think it fair to say that she sees islamofcists and terrorists who live in a 9th century religion of domination and intolerance as a real threat to her.

I would have to agree that a religion that didn't allow any of the things we take for granted as individual rights and believes that all should convert or die... I would see that as a threat..

hell... even jon stewart would see that as a threat.. he would say so but his writers are on strike so he can't really speak.

In a word YES,

just as it was our business:

Hitler,
slobodan milosevic,
Kadafi,
Pol Pot,
Mao,
Noriega,
Stalin,
Just to name a few.

If we couldn't invade them then we contained them. Saddam was invaded, end of story.

This has to be the most stupidest and self-centered statement i've ever seen. You must think there animals. There not. These are humans we are talking about. So what if they are Arabian? So what if there Muslim, we are all human. If your gonna join the army, speed it up please, i'd rather see you in uniform then ramblng in one sentence statements all over the boards that have no grammar, puncuation or literacy at all. So please, speed it up.

First off, you spelt sqeaker wrong (sqeaker), "is" should be capitlized, and you missed a period at the end of your 2nd sentence. 2nd, I was talking abut Iraqi civilians dumb arse. Jihad = messed up. Please, do the entire AH community a favor and join the marines or whatever you plan on doing. Your waisting your friggin life on a game that no one seems to like you in. And, if you plan on calling me a sqeaker again, we can test that theory in DA. Comprende?

Up Yours,
Subway

EDIT: You missed the word "and" in between "other" and "blow"

Yea i don't wanna live like that either. But that being said i respect they're right to live however they want as long as they stay the hell away from me. If they try, they must die is my philosophy. If they wanna commit family killings and such things to justify their family after what they deem is a disgrace, so be it, i don't care, just don't try that with me or mine is all i say.

That being said i really don't see how going over in they're  neck of the woods and being over in their situation is going to help us too much. When they can still just as easily come over here at any time and kill us while we're not looking. Perhaps it's unbalancing them and thats good. They will live however they want as long as we try to "Americanize" them. And we shouldn't try to "Americanize" them any more than they should try to "Islamofacist" us. It's not our business. We should put up our protection without having to get too much involved in changing a culture that has nothing to do with us. Only the ones who try to impose it on Americans should die. The rest can live however they want.

Not exactly true for all.

Hitler - True.... He tried to extend and impose his will and way of life on us.  Result Hitler must die. I'd kill him myself.

Slobadan Milosevic - False .....What the hell did him killing his own people have to do with us? What resources were we needing from them? What properties or American lives was he threating? Honestly we ain't the world's personal Jesus, to send our soldiers to die for other peoples crap. I don't like it, but it ain't up for me or America to like. At last i checked the government and military of America was only to be used for......Guess what America.

Kadafi - True ... Possible oil interets..result Kadafi should be biotch slapped. Even though i don't like blood for oil, until we get a new resource, looks like thats it.

Pol Pot - Possibly True.... Heaping communism on his own people. That's generally no reason of ours. Now it might have come over to haunt us, but i had my own reservations about a third world two bit country turning communist would effect us.

Mao - I think he was kind of the same with the communist proliferation so i'll leave him alone.

Noriega - True .... Huge drug exporter, causing problems for us. Result Noriega must be captured, killed, or deposed.

Stalin - Not quite true ... Stalin generally murdered and subjugated his own people. He needed to be watched. But if he tried that stuff with us he should be killed. Other than that, his country, his people, they're problem. It's not worth it to go around saving the world and sharing love if other people spit in your face while doing it. If they want help then fine. Sorry to be bleak, but i am, and such is this world.

I never quite understand people being sticklers for spelling on an internet bulletin board either. I generally just type, say some sh#t and move on. Not like it's the Sat's or something.
