The OP asked about feelings about the big maps.

I don't like them.

I'm not asking for them to NOT be in the game, I'm just not enjoying them.  You can't please everyone- I'm one of the ones that isn't pleased.

Maybe I need more time.  Maybe I need a different big map.

I'm not having the same experiences as the rest of y'all I guess.  I'm finding less fights, and much longer commutes between them.

I guess this partly depends upon when you log on. It is sometimes hard to find a good fight on the big map during early evening GMT. Lots of little one block activity bars all over the map.

Somtimes porking an enemy field will rustle up some defenders. Its no good just flying over there, they need to think you are just a toolshedder. If one ups, one or two others often up straight after.

Other times I'll just log and wait until nearer midnight.

One thing I have noticed is that I've been flying from CV's alot more this tour since the big map thing.

I don't know if this is a bish thing or if the other countries have CV's too, but the CV's have been giving the most bang for the buck for me.

Just start blowing up their radars and really piss em off. It almost always works.

Ahh quit the damn whining and just play the game.
basecaptures can be fun,yes
Furballing can be fun.yes
GVing can be fun,yes
Even
Toolshedding can be fun,yes
Resetting the map is irrelevent to having fun
you can get more perks in a couple of flights in a 109F then you get for resetting the map

Personally Im glad we have a different map as Im sick of looking at the old ones.

Other countries do get CV'S as well, Bish just like to take them from them.
Flying high CAP forward CV defence is always good provided the CV is headed to action. If it's not you'll be waiting for the odd astronaut scouting and that's about it.

To be honest, I don't understand the whole "take the CV from you" thing.

I've heard it on range before, and I assume it has something to do with owning the port, but truthfully, I don't understand the game on that level at all.

I know the info is out there, I just haven't looked.  I do like flying CV CAP.  Easy kills.  For some reason, folks just don't attack the CV with the intent of living for some reason.
