Lousy night to want to fly. 1 LW with cap and only a large hord map. Large maps brought back the old hord attitude in droves. Hope this changes soon.

Yup. There were no hordes at all on small maps. Always lots of even sided small battles with gentleman rules..

I was on tonite and was able to find some smaller engagements 5-6 guys or so..

I also saw some very large dar-bars.

At one point there was a small map up in Blue (I think it was blue) and the large map up in orange.

An overwelming majority of the players were in the orange.

Dont know if this means the players were enjoying the large map or enjoying any newer (meaning not in the rotation regularly) map or just going with the numbers.

In fact I went to the DA tonite other than play on the small map that was up in blue. I logged in saw the same ole same ole and logged out.

I have yet to have any problems doing anything on the large map, furball, GV, CV Attacks, base sneaks, Strats they are all there for you to do.

I am happy for something new after playing on the same maps over and over ad nauseum.

Hey, it brought back the old gv fight style (which I liked) so I'm happy. Mass gv's vs mass gv's is always fun :D  .

Only on for a bit a bit over an hour tonite.  Guys flying much higher.  The horde seemed a lot bigger, more of the undefended base stuff.

I know I'm suffering from scenario withdrawl so the MA isn't what it was anyway, but it seems like overkill again.

I know when I was up it was just the one LW arena as they'd shut down the other.

Ya that was a little weird. Went on a bombing run, thougt the regular 20K was ok, got to enemy base and I swear every single enemy plane was either co-alt or higher than me! La-7's, 190's, F4U's, TYPH's (but that wasn't much of a surprise), 109's, ponies, the list goes on.

"old Hoards" lol where have you been? Personally I find it's slightly easier to find smaller fights with the big map.

No Name.... not larger numbers... just more folks in MW and EW due to 1 LW User Capped Room.

Obvious that folks who like capturing undefended bases are having fun ?!? if one would call that some sort of fun.

Gotta say, at least with the large maps I've had no trouble finding whatever I'm looking for. Small maps (especially uterus) have few options on many nights, so that some nights I've wanted to play, couldn't find anything that looked fun, and logged off (Gasp of horror) to read a book or something.

On these big maps, not an issue. Even much easier to stir up trouble, but cruising in radar circle to get some worried base defenders up to fight.

My only complaint is this -- WHY DOES HTC INSIST ON PUTTING SAME MAPS UP IN BOTH ARENAS? No reason why the rotation can't be shuffled, so those who hate/love a certain map can hop across the pond to find what they're after.

One thing for sure, with one big map back in the mix, it's the first time in a long time I had one hell of a good fight (12 minutes worth) in my Spit14 (yeah, I know:D ) against BW15, a damn good stick in a 109K4.

Just him and me, no gang interference. Was refreshing.

Came on flew 2 sorties and logged.

I was having lag issues.  Brought up the net status screen and the que was NOT steady at all.  Variance was rock steady right on the line..............

My connect averages right between 50 and 70...............

I had some nice runs on the big map last night. I like the fact there are a lot of CVs roaming around. Enemy bases around our CVs, with ords still up, are prime targets for my Japmobiles. Its seems a lot of action is centered around CVs.

On the smaller maps, when I used to roam far inside nmy territory, I used to always find good intel to relay. I often scouted out NOE missions, bomber missions, CVs...ect All kinds of good Intel. Its a little harder to do on the big map. There is just so much empty space with about the same amount of players.

Overall tho Ive become rather fond of the big map. Its kinda cool having all that terrain, and targets, available.

Most of my fights have been 1 on 1 , or 2 on 1, on the big maps. Which is cool. I had one week on the smaller map where it seemd I was always stumbling into 5 fighters at once.
