Spawning In Tank ?
« on: November 13, 2007, 11:58:17 PM »
Yesterday the 12th, Orange arena, new map, to an enemy vehicle base I spawned into, my spawn of their base.  The spawn site was heavily vulched, 10 or so tanks spread around the perimeter.  The only way, according to the map, nme could get to my spawn was drive to it.  I visually observed through the turret's view recticle an nme tank spawn in, then fired on my position.

How is that possible?

I'm not worried about filming it or who it was as that is a dead-end avenue to approach.

Am I missing something as to game play and am I missing a how-to?

Spawning In Tank ?

Ok, If I understood you right, you spawned to their base, looked through your gun sight, then saw a tank appearing out of thin air?

In that case there's nothing fishy about it. The very moment you spawn into that place your computer doesn't know anything about what is there. He has to get all the updates about what's happening there, if any enemies are there, and what kind ect. That takes some time. As soon as your computer get's info about the enemy tank, he can draw them on your screen.
This may look like they "spawned". But in fact just you did. ;)

Makes sense; thanks for the response.

One step further...

I'm in vehicle hanger, spawning in, nme tank is either directly behind me or in the big indestuctable over in the inside corner catty-corner, he vulching me.

Two ways out of this:

The 1st is find 6 or 8 buddies to all spawn in simultaneously, he can only get one shot off and while he waits the reload cycle, a few of us can get out of the hanger.

The other way I have seen done, but cannot figure it out myself, spawned in tank gets his muzzle 180 dgrees facing the vulching tank, T-34 has quick muzzle rotation.  I've tried doing this without success and it has to do with the same principle as the top of thread 1st question with outsmarting or using the time lag to advantage.  How is this done?  I can understand not wanting to reveal super-tricks as trade secret, but cannot hurt in asking.

How do I obtain the greatest time lag before vulching tank appears?

Lusche, I've come up against you a time or two.  Man, you are good.  Rare to find an opponent to be as helpful as you are.  Nice to see chivalry exists here sometimes .  Most guys, better players than me, give you the utmost respect, me too.

Thanks,

You normally take longer to be seen after spawning by the campers front end. Locate where he is sitting and up and already have your turret turning in the direction he is facing.

I have heard what to do is you click (move) onto another base prior to spawning in from the normal base and this may help you.

Yup.. click on another base on the other end of the map and sit for a few seconds.  Click back to the original base then spawn..  It takes a second or two to for their front end to see you and if you choose a T34, you may be able to get your turret around fast enough to get a shot off.  You have to be in the gun an turning the turret ASAP.
