Last night I decided to see if I could get my B-17 to produce contrails
behind it (the engines exhaust condensing and making white trails)
like this picture

but nothing happened, it would be helpful if Aces High would make an authenticating patch to fix to any errors in the game or to add any useful thoughts by current players of the game.

Il-2 is in no way a forbidden word or reference.

Yes, other games have them and they'd be nice to see.  HTC aims to include lower end computers than Maddox does though.

They are actually a function of temperature rather than just altitude. So, do you want an entire weather aspect to the programming? Because contrails will form at different alts (temperature will vary at a given altitude from day to day for example) depending on the temperature at various altitudes on that day.

What does it really add to the game? IMO, not much. It'd be a waste of bandwidth IMO, especially considering we mostly have radar.

If buff drivers want to go to 25k then they have earned the right to be somewhat harder to spot. Ill still climb and pluck them down though.

Easier bomb sights!!

And fighters that can only shoot marshmallows above 15k.

you know the government uses contrails to rain down mind control chemicals. This has not been proven, but one time a jet flew over my house leaving a nice stream and I went inside and made some nachos.
