Hanger down-time
« on: November 20, 2007, 10:38:06 AM »
Forgive me if this has been covered before - I did a search and was unable to locate an answer.
The down time for Fighter, Bomber and Vehicle hangers is 15 min BUT does bailing after taking them down shorten this in any way?  I heard a rumor that if you bail right after taking down a hanger the rebuild time drops to 7 min.

Is it possible that is a change in the arena settings for the big map OR someone is running resups?

I guess it's possible that HTC did botch the downtime, but the help says http://www.hitechcreations.com/ahhelp/map.html down time is 15 min and can not be helped by resupply.

Well that was my understanding too but the person I spoke with was pretty sure this was a change made by HT about six months ago.   I guess maybe an email to HT will be the only way to confirm yay or nay - unless some helpful staff member responds to this thread. :)

As long as I have been playing, every few months I have heard the rumor that hangar downtime has been reduced. Each time people had been absolutely sure that hangars didn't stay down for 15mins.

This has never been verified.

Hangars rarely go down at the same time and players often tend to underestimate the time it takes to turn their buffs around and finish the job. Or they didn't take into account that someone else took down one hangar several minutes before. And as we know, once only one fighter hangar pops, map info shows "Fighter Hangars: Enabled".

we've been timing the second the first hanger goes down for obvious reasons, 7mins rock steady every time.

Which map?

I timed on last night in LW orange, and it was 15 min.

Baltic and the map with the sea in the middle was 7 min before they brought in the big map. haven't had a chance to time big map myself but my squadmates were saying it was 7 min. NDisles was 7 min last night.

I've never seen hangers down for less than 15 minutes.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

Maybe hey are forgetting to account for daylight savings time? Perhaps metric minutes?

The 113th  Lucky Strikes, who specialize in shutting down airfields and take a timing on every hanger strike, see no change, 15 min.  Even if all the strat targets are down as well, Fighter hanger pop after 15 min.
