Yeah, that's how it goes, some days you're in the zone, other's the zone's so far up your date you find yourself sitting funny in your chair.

I was just about to post something like this.  Just seems like the last 4 to 5 days, I can't kill an ant.  I find that when I get in a slump like this is when I'm trying something different.  Except this time, I'm not trying to do anything other than stay alive.

Seems like my kill ratio and my golf score is inversely proportional to each other cause I'm shooting in the low 80's this week.  When I'm above that, my AH kill to death ratio starts climbing.

Good thing its getting colder and I can't play golf anymore (I think).

That just sounds like the normal up and down cycles of the game.  Some nights you can't do a thing, other nights you're golden.

If I were you I wouldn't be so worried about K/D.  I'd get into whatever I'm comfortable in and just go mix it up (within reason... one on one to one on three or so).  K/S, K/H and KH% are all part of the fighter mix too and I'm sure you want to get to a point where you can pull them all together.

When I was learning the plane-set, I found commonalities in my flying style and in the planes themselves that could be applied across the plane-set.  Then I stayed within those bounds until the situation dictated that I try something else.  It's kind of like an NFL team cutting back the playbook and getting back to basics.  Even then, one night I was the wonderkind of a certain AC and the next I was junk in the dirt.  It takes a while to learn the idiosyncrasies of all those planes.  I still don't know them all like I'd like to but using this approach I feel comfortable that I can have a successful flight in just about anything.

Don't let it bother you.  Keep at it and keep having fun.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

LOL, can't believe I forgot that one.

hhmm...wondering if this was the furball over A1 last night? i was flying there.....and the first 1 or 2 flights did extremely well....for me anyway. then it fell over the cliff......started getting nnothing more than assists, and in one instance, i was maintaining 200-300 yds off the six of a 109.....and unloaded all of my cannon rounds and most of my bb's into him.....no apparent damage, then he simply dissappeared off the screen. there were reports from others in that same furball saying the same thing.......
o well.......twas STILL fun though...

and it happens to every single individual that plays this game at 1 time or another......

just shake it off, and better luck next time up.....

also, as Ghastly posted, experiment with other planes, but don't be changing up so quickly and hoping to experience triumph until you come acustomed to the whole plane set and  everything in between the lines...

SA, BFM, ACM, Energy Management, Gunnery Skills

stick to 1 or 2 planes as your main rides, and experiement casually with any others.but learn the complete ins and outs of those 1 or 2 main rides before moving on  to something else.......

1)the frustration factor...yes, i agree...when i'm ingame and pissed about anything at all, i find i get kilt more by someone i never saw.....i'm only on the bottom side of average...but i almost always see the guy that gets me, BEFORE he does......my evasives and gunnery need more work, that's all.......
