This would also be great for those times you need to fly backwards or stop suddenly..... just fire all the guns at once. Granted, it might just tear the wings off instead.

Greatest plane (except for same problem above):

P38-L with B-25's 75 mm cannon on each wing, .50 cals replaced with 20mms.

either a B-25H with Ar-234 engines, reinforced wings and an GAU-8 in place of the 75mm.

or an F4U-4 with an M-61a1 cannon under both wings.

I'd take a P38 that has 6 .50s in the nose... they were used in combat to boot.

Take a B25H, remove the waist gunners and replace them with 234 engines, 1 mount to each side just under the tail. Replace all 50cals with 20mms. Increase the elevators for more down force. Remove the bomb racks and add extra storage for 20mm ammo. Add Rocket and bomb racks to the wings. Put the pilot in an armored bathtub like the IL2. Then we might have a nice AH version of the A10 :D
