I don't care how much you say the parents were at fault, suicide is never not a surprise. And it's never known to be that serious untill after it happens. That's why most people think depression is a joke and not a real disease. That is untill a family member blows their brains out, than they get it.

The women intended harm on a child and should be held accountable.  I love how some people always blame the victim.

if it was my daughter...well...i would torture and maim the woman behind the scam.
after that i would probably murder her with a blunt tea spoon.
then i would hand myself in and spend the entire life sentance wishing i had made it more painfull on the b1tch.
sure, revenge doesnt make the pain go away, but i would do it anyhow.
