Of course, that only applies when he isn't sitting down.

My bad...I do know its two different guys...just a lazy typer:) and assuming everyone knows who we're talking about...

You're correct that rudder pedal don't help you turn. However, they do allow you to do many other things that you cannot do without rudder control. They allow you do them better or with greater precision than you can with a twisty stick or rudder rocker on the throttle. The pilots with the best plane control are masters of rudder use. Pedals are markedly superior to twisties and rockers, giving far more precision.

A typical twisty stick or rocker on a throttle gives you about 1/2 inch of travel between centered and full rudder. Pedals provide at least 6 inches of travel, and that difference allows for far more precision.

Not to mention that many guys using twisties inadvertently carry some rudder if they move the stick aggressively. That induces yaw and roll, hurts gunnery and more importantly, eats E.

If a set of pedals is within a player's budget, he/she should buy them.

That was not a barrel roll. It was an aileron roll, and it's nearly useless. A barrel roll resembles a helix, like a big corkscrew path. An aileron roll does not kill E fast enough and your aspect changes little. In other words, all it generally does is spread the hits out over your airplane. Besides, why did you push your nose over when trying to kill speed? If you want to kill speed, enlist the aid of gravity, at least. Get your nose up and barrel roll from nose high.

The only reason joker2 ran into you was because he's a not a skilled pilot and didn't throttle back, not that you put some stunning move on him.

You, on the other hand, had an opportunity early in the duel for clear shot. You didn't see it. Frankly, you didn't see much of him at all. The quickest way to lose a duel is to lose sight of the opponent.

You failed to do the primary thing, which is to keep your nose or at least your lift vector pointed towards the other plane. To do that well, you have to learn to fly to where you are looking, not look to where you're flying. You should be looking at the other guy...

These things can all be overcome, but you'll never do that until you take time for coaching and practice. Get together with some squadies and go to the TA and duel each other, concentrating on keeping them in view at all times. Get together with one or more of the Trainers and work at things like the barrel roll and rolling scissors.

I tell people that the only limit they have is that which they impose upon themselves.

AWmac  no crying here when i went back into arena after his pissing fit. next hour was him saying i stick stired and ramed him and i was liar . and for 3 days now its been post flim liar. I Squelched him so he had squadies like cumstard  start in. so had to post to shut him up atleast a little while. I HOPE.
He must care alot since he starts every time he comes in arena. I am using my Dads  account and fly when hes not. I lost use of my legs in a car crash. so to use pedals is impossible.

This should never have been brought to the BBS.

And 2 of those screenshot's shoulda gone to support@flyaceshigh.com

Nobody takes Joker2, Cmustard, or any of "that bunch" serious.  Who cares WHAT They say.

When being insulted, always consider the source.

I use duel throttle control on a thrustmaster WCS enable me to control 2 engines at a time, ive made 110s spin circles doin this, and yes pedals are good.

my reason for liking the pedals over twist stick it gives me complete control of my aircraft, I can mash a rudder anytime i wish or gently apply it.

Its not something easily learned by, trust me. Takes time but I say I outfly 90% of my fights because of the pedals.

microsoft Sidewinder twisty stick is almost as good as any rudder pedals.

...or...would you have me believe that when i lose to a pedal using player it is only because of control methods?

Joker2 came in his spit8 at my jugD25 1 on 1 the other day....i owned him in 20 seconds and chewed off a wing. This was on the deck next to his base.

then, i was fighting a 190A5 and an F6F in the same plane and joker2 comes back out and goes for a direct HO shot that would steal the kill from the f6f that is now on my six.  He misses and augers, f6f overshoots and 190 blasts me.

i laughed on ch200, joker2 did not reply.

Well all these replys about joker2 are funny hear him tell it. He has respect of everyone and is best there is. And they would know i'm lying so post film liar were his replys. Wmlute only put screen shots, Because after posting film he got on private told me to prove he called me Dik and **** and biatch. so I posted so his so called friends squadies see that one lying is the one yelling on 200. like my dad says" You can tell who is lying by how they protest thier inocent". Wmlute I'm sure HTC has enough on thier plate then to get screen shots of guys on 200, If someone reported every time someone used these words 60% of players would be gone. as you see in one screen shot he started up i was answering him and a moderator told me to "please discontinue this arguement" So I stoped while his abuse continued I finally asked mod on 200 why not be fair. after I stoped he continue on for atleast 5 mins.
