In the real world each vehicle would likely toss track at  various speeds.  Those odds go up dramatically with speed.  The problem being thats a pretty high speed and not documented as it depends on the condition of the actual links in each track.

Why would you want this to happen?  Who cares if someone goes for a cannon ball run in a gv?  At least its some fun.  Given all of the other stupid problems like solid sheep and bushes etc... why complain about one of the funner goofs?

I agree it's fun :)  I do it whenever I have a chance.

I wasn't complaining about it.  Just wondering why no one else had as it is, after all, pretty gamey.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

Fair enough..  People complain about everything, especially when it inconveniences them.  Of all of the gamey things there I hope this is one of the last they address especially since its physically possible in the real world.

im with whels :aok
exactly how it should work. i realise its unfair penalising players with low spec hardware, but penalising those with newer kit is nuts.:huh

and back OT im pretty sure ive fried a panz by doing that - engine started at the bottom of the slope but no gears.
IRL Tigers had terrible transmissions - shonky at 30mph let alone 100. im guessing the diffs/driveshafts would fail pretty quick too.

Perhaps a better fix would be better (more realistic) ground physics.  There's something utterly wrong in how a ~75 ton machine "skates" across the ground like a hovercraft to begin with.

Why doesn't anyone ever complain about GV's (heavy armor no less) racing down hills at 80-100 mph in neutral?  I've never ever seen this one posted.
