First of all "dumb" would be forgetting fact that Church managed to slaughter quiet a number of people for the past 1000 years.
Secondly the whole principal of Christian faith is to be afraid of going to hell.
You pretty much have to believe in God,or else,you going to hell where you will burn for eternity but God will still love ya

Main difference between USA and Iran (or Iraq for example)is that they ruled by religion.Actually ever since that religious salamander came to power with religious pedophile as his spiritual adviser things when down hill very fast,so to answer to your question,yes.Church in power is horrible thing to have.

i agree Kgb, sort of.

one thing i disagree with is that the church will turn back to burning at the stake.

christian church evolved past those methods and will not return to them, muslims just need to catch up.
