Puhlease is right. I suspect there are more than a few just like you who actually believe that ridiculuosly stupid statement though. Funny how you'll find many of them bashing Chrisitanity while defending Islam, the religion that would try to kill you if you ridiculed Mohammed like many have done with Jesus in this thread.

You want to make an idiotic comment don't expect to not be called on it. There are more Christians in the world than Muslims and if they wanted your head for a cartoon they have the "power" to take it.

Might consider factoring in the actual percentage of Muslims that really want someone's head for a cartoon, however. It's a really safe bet it's less than 100%. Probably good money on less than 10%. But that's where it's an actual wager and damned hard to nail down, eh? And is it really Islam? ;)

Motivation, ideology and theology

To what extent Islamist terrorists are motivated by religious belief is disputed. Robert Pape, author of the book Dying to Win: The Strategic Logic of Suicide Terrorism, has argued that at least terrorists utilizing suicide-homicide attacks -- a particularly effective[52] form of terrorist attack -- are driven by nationalism, not Islam. They

"are not driven by religion as much as they are by a clear strategic objective: to compel modern democracies to withdraw military forces from the territory that the terrorists view as their homeland. From Lebanon to Sri Lanka to Chechnya to Kashmir to the West Bank, every major suicide-terrorist campaign — over 95 percent of all the incidents — has had as its central objective to compel a democratic state to withdraw."[53]

[52]^ For example, according to Pape, from 1980 to 2003 suicide attacks amounted to only 3% of all terrorist attacks, but accounted for 48% of total deaths due to terrorism - this excluding 9/11 attacks, from Pape, Dying to Win, (2005), p.28

I bet it's enough that you and/or others here fear to post something as mocking towards Mohammed as what's been posted towards Jesus. Will you dispute this? Better yet, prove me wrong.

Yeah, I would. I don't resist mocking Islam out of fear. AAMOF, I do so because I am a Christian. Doing otherwise is more an insult to myself (and my faith) than to Muslims. I'm sure the majority of Muslims understand this. Goading me on to be an bellybutton is ..... well .... assinine. :)

Well, there are some here more than willing to insult Christianity. They're not so brave when it comes to slinging insults towards those who aren't inclined to "turn the other cheek". A less than Christian term comes to my mind, chicken****.

Try moving the decimal place to the left twice. And I said it's pretty safe that it's less than. After that is when the needle should start moving once you work up a practical way to measure. :)

I reserve the right to presume upon whoever and whatever my prejudice desires and since this forum isn't exactly private the gauntlet has been thrown.

For whatever that's worth. Honestly, I never can understand why people are so headstrong about undermining their own arguments. And when I challenge such I'm just as baffled over the presumptions flung at me, as a result. :)

I would appreciate an explanation as to how I have underminded my own argument. Perhaps you do not understand my argument?

Case in point: My contention that presumption and prejudice undermines one's argument must mean I misunderstand. ;)
