Bops and Hells Angels
« on: November 27, 2007, 02:30:24 AM »
was a good fun night, the Bops found our lancaster mission and decided to bring a pack of 262s along. damn them.  then we had some good banter and good squad vs squad fighting going on high over enemy territory.

after we got bored of being shot down by Bops and/or chasing their jets we went and found another gang to pick on, Hells angels, lots of good fighting and killing here also.

Mako48 - S! you showed some great flying tonight.

Bops landed hundreds of kills together and everytime Monti would shout WTG BOPS on ch200, obviously he forgot how to use squad channel... :p

was a fun night alround, good fights with muddart also in DA and also whateva in the MA at the start of the night. S! you both.

Salute to BOPs and the rest of you enemy types, the spirit and fun levels where just a perfect mix of banter, fighting and salutes.

my last escort sortie saw me flying over our own field at 15,000 in a P51D. lots of low cons and nits all defending on all fronts from a jam packed furball around the base.
Ok, im thinking, picking 20 kills is going to be fun.

hang on, co-alt F6F just came into icons and appears to be blazing at me at some tremendous speed. we merged cold yards apart and looped around each other in a climbing spiral to the limits of our speed and went right back into a reverse corkscrew on the way down, neck and neck.

This guy is good, is it Greebo? no. i would be dead already. what am i thinking? better do something.

pulling out of the spiral dive at about 10,000 i try to hang back and commence firing but this dang f6f isnt having it he still wants to stay in rolling fight, we continue full flaps at 10k for a minute rolling over and over so close to a gunsolution but nothing giving either way.

Suddenly the F6f drops a wing in an overstretch on its tight diving roll, throttle at 0% i roll in and gain the shot i need, the f6f has recovered in a second and is pulling back up his scissor through my guns and i fire and get a good number of hits from 60yrds with my right wing guns, but the stubborn hellcat ploughs through the rounds like they were tiny chunks of lead flying at a tank of a fighter painted blue.

the kitty rolls high now, over my 110mph pony and settles neatly at 300 yrds, guns right on me and gaining speed, he opens up a long burst and saws my plane apart.

System: Mako48 shot you down
you have been killed
