Prayers and well wishes for you and your son.  My 4 year old had a sleep test conducted about a 3 weeks ago.  Confirmed that the tonsils and adnoids need to come out too.  

We've scheduled the surgery for early January to let him have a good Christmas.  We're told by our medical staff that the procedure is relatively straight forward but it's the 2-week recovery that's the rough time for the kids so to prepare for that.  Poor kid .  Something about being a parent that just causes my heart to ache to put my son through that.  I suppose there's a lot worse things to have to go through but it doesn't take away the pain to have to put your child through some misery.

We'll pray all goes well with you and your son.  Please do the same for us!

just make sure when he goes in for his tonsiles they wheel him the right way


Dont want the doctor sniping at the wrong end,i am sure a few of the squeakies have had this done by the high pitch of there voice.

Good luck to you and your son.  

Like I said last night, went through the exact same thing with my son (no sleep test, just a camera up his nose to see the 100% blockage).  After they removed his adnoids/tonsils, I would get up in the middle of the night to make sure he was ok because he wasn't snorting/snoring anymore.  

It really helped in school too; he was much alert since he wasn't exhausted from not sleeping through the night.

i agree tango, the results will b back in like 2 weeks and they said he quit breathing 293 times from 10pm to 6am....thats ALOT and they DO need to come out but i'm gonna let him do his las vegas trip with his dad and get pass christmas then we'll schedule the surgery.

well were home...i was home when i posted this...ty all for being so caring. we just play the waiting game now for the results and more doctors appointments.
