Don't like it.

I like running captures and organized missions, but with this arena the map will reset before any one side can win...so there is really no point to playing that component of the game.

Maybe run it with a small map, so there is the possibility of one side winning within 24 hours.

If the idea is just to create massive furball, why not just skip the conventional map altogether, maybe create a hybrid fighter town map, just 3 uncapturable bases, no arena limit...have at it.

Just my 2 cents, everyone else seems to like it and it is only 1 day..so whatever.

Why can't the capture itself be your goal?  To me it is a lot of fun to see if we can wrestle a base away from the HA's, AK's, A8's, whoever.  If we can, we "win."  If we can't, well, we had fun trying.

On the whole I liked it.  Pointless trying to win a reset though.  At best a "Zone" is accomplishable but again whats the point.

I tuck the opinion that this day be best for fighting or training, honing some skills or trying out new ideas.:aok

To be frank it was a refreshing change not to worry about the Bish base capture missions.... no matter how gamey or skilless they got with it.  It was refreshing not to bother doing defensive porking.  Just let the opposing teams do their base capture thing because, after all, their endeavors were  pointless.  However, each to their own.  Whatever floats their boat.

Some here didn't like the gang bangs.  The undefended base captures,  trying to bust a base capture mission on their own, being horded in a fight and the list goes on.  I see this day as a positive for fighter training or working on an aspect of an individuals weaker points. While some will carry on doing whatever it is they do.  I would urge others to take a more positive approach.

The maps only up for 24 hours so brush up on whatever needs attention.  Hone the SA.  Learn to fight up in the hoard.  Try some new moves you read about.  Practise squad fighter sweeps or wingman tactics.  Take your squad cap busting:aok

Practise reading dar or guestimating where the next NOE attack will be or from and go kill the c47's :D  Try out some new base capture ideas or be real cheeky and take a base way behind the lines :lol Do a high profile squad base capture or take a base on your own.

If your a scorer this is a blessing.  Look at all those kill streaks waiting to happen.  The nuka stuka runs behind your own lines

Yes Sir,  It's a positive day.  I have some planes I would like to learn to fight better. Have some defence idea's to try out:aok and I'm still trying to get some squaddies to learn to fight up :rofl

Thank you HTC...what a cracker of a day :aok

Triple the Squeakers at the price of one!

The old maps of the past were better as was a weekly rotation.

But I guess a hungry dog will still chew on the same old bone... better than no bone at all.

Throw us old dogs something with meat on it.

The ganging problem isn't the map or the numbers... it is the people that play on it. Literally, you see 10+ guys attacking an undefended base while the other team does the same a sector away, rarely do the mobs ever meet, or want to meet up.

I think it is highlighting the real changes in AH lately.

I don't know for sure if they ever met in the first place. At least by design. If and this is a big if , they put up a samll map....and had a titanic tuesday type deal , with so many players, they may not have a choice.

Be interesting to see anyway. Or , funny.

Each faction of the player base has its wants....and satisfying them all is near impossible I would think. I certainly don't envy HT and crew for all the gruff they put up with at times from people here. My self included a couple of times , though never on the scale of ALOT here on this BBS.

So would I.  This concept provided the opportunity for everyone.  If they wanted squad ops, that opportunity was available.  If they wanted to furball, that opportunity was available.  If they wanted one on one fights or 2 vs 2, that opportunity was available.  The map was large enough to accommodate all.  It would sure be great if it was an everyday event.
