Tigger or Shermie, what should I spend some perks on

I spent most of my time in a Panzer.  Been in a Sherman once and only upped a tigger when I first started and lost all the gv points I had at the time.  Vowed I would work hard and get enough points to not ever have to worry again about points.  The Panzer has done me very very well.  It seems most of the tankers I talk to like the M4 over tigger unless it is for bomb protection.  So, is it time to switch from panzer to a m4 or tigger or  what?  

It almost is to the point I cant spend the durn things lol.

With that many perks? Just use the Tiger. Its got a bigger gun, better protected, and tons of ammo for killing twns or other gvs (and sometimes planes :D ). The M4 is more accurate though and isn't hunted down like the Tiger is.

The Tiger's gun is better at longer ranges. The Tiger's armor stands up better to other tanks, though a Sherman will kill it easily. A Sherman will die just as easily as a Panzer to aircraft. The Tiger will sometimes take thousands of pounds of bombs before becoming tracked. Other times a single 1000lber will kill it.

The Sherman.. It has good enough armor and the turret is much faster than a Tiger's. I don't run into too many Tigers these days and when I do the Sherman will kill it fairly easily...

That's assuming you aren't head to head and they you have the ability to work the flanks.

btw I think he just wanted a reason to show off his perks..

I personally will only up a Tiger if I need HE rounds (town or hanger killing).  The HE shells for the 17lbr are weak.  (I will actually take a Panzer before a Sherman for HE work as well.)

If you don't need HE, the Sherman is better IMO.  The green blends in almost perfectly with the trees, making it hard to spot if you are in defense.  The gun vs. tanks is nearly identical to the Tiger's.  The armor is worse, but I have been one-ping killed in a Tiger too many times to care -- I just assume the first hit will kill me anyway.  The turret traverse is faster as has been pointed out.  Finally, at about 1/5 the cost of a Tiger, it is a steal -- not that you will blow through those perks any time soon.

If your opponent doesn't disable skins, the Tiger has a great green skin as well.

EDIT: Another plus to the Sherman is smoke grenades. You have something like 25 short range tube-fired smoke grenades in the Sherman, while the Tiger carries only HE and AP.

I really like them. I have nailed countless Sherman VC because they gave their position away by dropping smoke :aok

For defending vehicle bases & ports, there is nothing better then a Tiger. Inevitably the VH will be dropped and planes are all over the place. In that case, the tiger is the best AA vehicle in game, with a considerable anti-tank capability as well ;)

Those that plop the smoke shells right in front of themselves are tards. Smoke used strategically for retreat or sideways advancement works very well now that you can't zoom through it.

I love killing Tigers from the air knowing that they burned some perks.  I will leave an advancing sherm to kill a tigger.  I hate anyone who ups a Tigger....GRRRRRRR
