Hi all.
If this is a bug, then please move it to that forum.
This has happened a couple of times.
In an A6M5, taking off with auto-takeoff. CV is turning, which messes up the takeoff roll. I disengage autotakeoff and try to stop, but the plane will not stop no matter what. It rolls backwards very slowly. Ultimately, there is no way to takeoff or stop and .ef out because the plane won't stop moving even with engine off and brakes applied. I tried rolling over the arresting wires backwards with hook down with no joy.
Tonight I landed a seafire on the CV. Got the trap. Orange weapons loading popped up and kept popping up. Plane would not stop rolling even with breaks on. I tried to .ef about 3 times with no luck. Gave a nub of throttle to try to even out the backward rolling and the CV took off from under me- looked like I rolled backward at 30 mph.
In all cases this led to a death.
I don't know what I could have done differently, especially on landing. It was a normal landing, just couldn't stop long enough to .ef out.
Please let this be a bug, because it was incredibly frustrating. 5 of my deaths this tour are from this, which is frustrating.
