I'm excited!

With everybody at work talking about the game, and also where I stopped for a cold beverage on the way home, it's like a mini-Super Bowl!!

I did pick up an extra pack of bratwurst and have put in a leave slip for tomorrow!

the Shiner Bock is cold, sausages are on standby to be broiled, Chips and dips ready to be dispensed.  All I have to do is get home without an accident...  very much feels like a mini-super bowl...

Personally..for it NOT to be on national TV is a travesty.

There have been a few regular season games this year that have been almost as exciting to see as a SuperBowl...Dallas v Green Bay was one that unless you have DishNetwork...your out of luck.

Having to have DishNetwork and the like to see a regularly scheduled weekday game is insane....(Unless the NFL is in bed with satallite tv services).

I do not think CBS Sports should even be allowed to carry NFL games.

All day last week, CBS touted on how it was airing the Indianapolis game at 7:00 Central, and went on to air some lame Survival re-cap episode of stuff that Survivor viewers had already seen instead....then on to other lame programming.

Fox & ESPN have shown themselves to be the new bearer of NFL games.  Let people who know what they are doing air the games.

ABC kissed goodbye to NFL MNF, and with good reason...rating slumped as many NFL fans did not like EGOMAN Brent Michaels calls, and the constant turn-over of color commentary side-kicks (many who personally disliked Michaels' EGO...and his penchant for getting some of the best color folks run off the show).

The era of Howard, Dandy Don & Company, et al  MNF was over.

This will play itself out, and the best medium for the games will be dictated by ratings and ad dollars in the end.

My hope is that Fox Sports & ESPN win out.  At least you can see most of the best match-ups if you have cable.

My pick on the game....Dallas 28--GB 21....

Dallas handicap 2.5 to 1, home field advantage and ROMO is on a TEAR.  Don't take a point spread higher than that if you are "wagering".

Farve has never won in Dallas, but I'd pony up the hot sauce to put on my hat while I eat it if GB wins!

I live 4 hours from Dallas, put prefer Prince Brent & The Cheddar-Heads.

Either side....good luck and enjoy the game...(IF you can see it).

Screw Charter Communications...I'm so freaking pissed I cant watch the game tonight....If this wasn't on the NFL network this definately would have been the Sunday night Flex game.

Got Dish and a barrel of NFL channels.
Would trade them for something more fun to watch than grass growing.
