Titanic Tuesday was great, The new graphics that were added awhile back are wonderful, The B-25, etc, but sometimes i feel as if they have passed by a few things that have needed addressing for awhile in the game. Here's just a few things that i wish Aces High would have spent a little time on instead.

1. Please update the graphics on a few of the planes that have been needing it for awhile. Like the F-4u C moldel and the Ta-152 for example. Everytime i see a new change i wonder why a bit of time wasn't spent on those things.

2. Please look into a few of the flight dynamics issues with a few planes that need a little tidying up. The Hellcat for instance and the Mustangs turn performance. Widewing to me is a trusted source and he has brought up what i think are some pertanent issues on the Hellcat for instance as of late. (Btw great job on the Mossy, very enjoyable.)

3. Please update us on the combat tour and if it's not ready please don't mention anything else about it. Untill real steps are being made to release it. Sometimes i feel like i'm being played with by Hi-Tech and i don't as well as a few other customers i believe don't appreciate it. (Axl Rose - Chinese Democracy, Hi-Tech - Combat Tour).

4. I personally would like to see weather implemented back into the game. Maybe a little rain, Thunderstorms, Heavy Cloud Formations. I understand this game had it at one time and i don't know why it was taken away. Though i'm all ears to listen. Please forgive me as i'm sure it's been explained before.

Also as a few personal aside, i've always felt the B-29 would be an interesting addition and i feel it could be worked out. I know folks worry about the effect on game play. But if perked in a similiar way to the Me-262 i feel it wouldn't be to far of a stretch and could be worked out. Maybe the B-29 could be worth 200 - 500 perks and the use of the Nuclear weopon could be perked seperately for a fairly high ammount. That way it wouldn't be out of the question to fly the bomber it self. But the use of the nuclear bomb would be a very added bonus for flying the B-29 itself and gathering points. But that's just me.

I also feel a Korean war version of this game somewhere down the line would push this game into uncharted territory and it would become all the more popular. I can see the subscriber base tripling or quadrupling at the very release of such a thing.

As an honest open post in this forum i feel these are fair open questions to be asked of a business from one of it's customers.

Everything else is fine, you guys do a fine job and have what i believe to be the worlds penultimate multi-player simulator. But i feel those things, especially the first four could be looked into and as a customer i would feel very happy about it.

Keep up the wonderful work.

Id rather it take 5 years and be fully completed rather then they rush it and not take there time on it. As far as I am concerned I don't care if it takes another year or two to complete its sure to be worth it.

The problem being it has taken nearly that long and once its released there will be that much more coad to support which slows down everything else too.  Given how much energy invested in it at the expense of the core product the whole thing does not show a lot of progress potential.  Hopefully I'm wrong.

I swear I gag every time an addition or enhancement of this game is denounced for the sake of   "It would make it difficult for people with old computers to play"

weather

better terrain

better bomb effects

better rocket effects

better plane damage effects

the list goes on and on...

in the rest of the entire world we live in.. gamers upgrade their rigs to keep uo with the developers.   only in aces high are developers held back and forced to languish for the sake of some geezers and their circa 1999 computers..

if you can afford to pay for the MA.. you can afford to get your crap box up to spec..

a $30 motherboard, a $75 processor, a $20stick of ram and a $50 video card..

is all it would take to run the dog snot out of this game, and even leave room for future upgrade..

the fasted rig in the world it wont be.. but AH2 isnt exactly doom 3 either..

if you can run quicken you can run AH2, and if you own quicken you probably have enough money to afford the upgrade, or why the hell would you have quicken..

where am I going with all of this?  I haven't a clue, my phone rang mid way though typing this and the train is now far from the tracks..

dont make me have this discussion again.:furious

Not to mention the handy "detail level" slider and settings to tune up or tune down features to suit your needs.  Its just weird to see people complain about upgrades to the product.

Wingnutt, don't put much stock in what you read on the bbs regarding why HTC does or does not dosomething, unless it's from HTC.

What people typically refer to as the "weather we used to have", was just a series of clouds floating around anyway. I don't think they really want to sit at their desks and watch it snow for 2 hours instead of play.

thats kind of an absurd way at looking at weather..

something more along the line of different density cloud types, some darker some lighter, and rain.. moving across the map..

nothing that would outright prohibit flying..  just make it interesting, another level of immersion for the game..

of course the map will be reset in 4 hours as soon as the rooks figure out how to cloud seed with sheep urine and finely ground back hair, but no product is perfect.

Do you realize what a POS the B29 was? I see pilots hit the hills in here all the time and the B29 would be worse. Its much harder just to get the thing off the ground and then its climb rate is terrible and its ceiling is low. Of course it would not have the problems with engine fires that the real one had if we ever got it but we dont really need it anyway because we have bombers with plenty of range and better ceiling already.

I would like to see the P51s drag from extended flaps situation fixed. That would be worth a small bottle of cognac.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.
