I just found out today that he has to have triple bypass...He has 2 blocked arteries...one in the front and one in the back of his heart.. [/B][/QUOTE]

Not that getting heart surgery is any small thing but like I said they are pretty good at that stuff anymore.I was in the Hospital for a week then I went home.I had to stay home for 3 months. Now I was 28 at the time your Father is prolly a bit older than that and may take a bit more time to recover. If ya have any questions feel free to PM me if ya think I may be able to help.Try to keep positive.Ill keep your Father in my thoughts.Keep us posted.

Apparently, one in five people in the world are Chinese. And there are five people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother, Colin. Or my younger brother, Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin. - Tim Vine.

BiPoLaR, my dad had triple bypass surgery back in 1987. All went well despite a weakened heart from two heart attacks. It bought him 10 more years.

Since then, the techniques used have improved dramatically, with current methods being far less invasive and physically demanding. Some hospitals use a method where they don't even stop the heart.

Bypass surgery is considered routine these days. Nonetheless, it's a very scary prospect for patient and family.

I will keep your dad in my thoughts and prayers, confident that all will go well and you'll have him home to celebrate Christmas.

Best wishes,

Widewing
