I was referring to your GF's population data with fish... not the study that was quoted.  Her data set is only good with a popluation that REMAINS STABLE.... and is only good to INFER NUMBERS of population.

In this poll, no means of distribution of calls are given.  Were they predominately EAST coast respondents?  Inner City or country residents..and proportion thereof.?

Their party affiliation is not a mitigating factor for their psychological self exam.  It is portrayed as so in the poll.... without any substantive formulation of methodology.  That is, exept with comparing it to a SMALLER subset of data... voting records from congress and senate... Another data set which is grossly over worked for its use here.

Women seeking "self-help" books often cite men as their biggest problem.

That said, I think men are great! Well, many of them, anyways...

Some just go by testosterone fueled predator instincts and if it weren't for the threat of rule of law would need to be culled by the government like coyotes in the suburbs.

You remember the poll that was first posted?  The poll you had problems with?

You see, I posted something that I thought you might be familiar with, a biological population counting technique, as an analogy to political polling.

Wow, Holden.  You first bring your girlfriend's fish count data in as supporting a Gallup poll.  I explain why it isn't the same.  You now tell me I was off topic when I did so......Are you mentally unbalanced up on that mountain in California? (Your GF working on salmonid populations out there huh?)  I hope she has more sanity than you.

That counting procedure is not analogous to the gallup poll.  I'll let her explain why.

Well, actually...  That's sort of how it works :)  Guys do all sorts of dumb thing to get wimmen and likker, so changing political affiliation is a small thing for a lot of people if their main squeeze makes it an issue.

She says she is a Centrist... this is the main reason, I have learned, for her loosing points with the hard left and gaining points with moderates and right wingers.

Being a centrist is nothing more than a political position intended to garner more votes. I've heard other terms for it, lukewarm comes to mind.
