Most excellent. I'm really enjoying this game as a filler when I get bored killing my fellow man online.

I don't see how you guys can like this game.  It's utter crap and the AI really sucks.  Better off getting the mounted combat mod for Oblivion.

Pretty much because it's a Beta.  It has come a LONG way since I first downloaded over a year ago.

You don't have to update it, you can still play your mod.

Some mods have problems between versions
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

I'm really enjoying the new version except for the Dynamic Wars. I allied with Swadia and 2 months later they are no longer at war with anyone. It has been almost a year and still peace. My only option is to start again and import my character, but then I lose my standings with all the lords and villages. Tough decision to make.

I don't play much of the native, but can't you start the war again somehow?  I.E. Provoke it?

The only thing the game needs to improve is its AI and the unit setup.

AI because for some reason the enemy always knows where you are and the unit setup because your elite archers (cant be upgraded any more) are significantly out-performed by sea raiders or other enemy types.. and they throw spears mostly. From 500m+ away. nuts.

Fighting on foot also needs a big tweak. The AI soldiers seem to simply swing and push forward all the time.. i rarely see them try to block or anything..and they dont need to 'hold' their swing to increase damage..they always do full damage. Heck i found that playing with a dagger and a big shield was far more useful in foot combat than a sword and shield.. cause i could keep myself blocked and stab like nuts till the other guy died. on foot you have no chance at all.

I'd like to see the strategy system refined better. I like that you can click on the map view in battle to position troops, but I'd like to be able to see the topography of the battlefield on it. Being able to set formations would be nice, as would having the capability to position troops based on weapon type.

Nope. It's up to the AI to start and stop wars.

If you do have suggestions on gameplay, why not post on the forum at taleworlds?  They ask for ideas as the game is still in beta.

The sniper archers and javelins do annoy me, as does the stupidity of cavalry charging into the middle of 10+ people, stopping and getting gangbanged.  Also the cavalry need more momentum charging into a group of men, at the moment they stop too easily.

Depends on the horse Furbie, as well as riding skill (probably)
I make most of my infantry kills by riding down a group of infantry, chopping one's head of while at it with my balanced Bastard sword.
Then zoom away, and repeat the process.
Sort of like making hammerheads in AH :D
Oh, my version is .894. Is there a newer one?
And,  - I have only taken castles. I have razed towns and made the folks hate me with a passion, LOL.
How do you take citadels or towns?
As for war, I can probably make war with anyone? I have run out of castles from enemies to take.
BTW, I'm level 30, and have killed 2.500+ troops :D
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)
