a new Arizona law to go into effect in jan 07 says any business that employs illegals will lose their business license. As a result employers have been firing illegals and the illegals have been leaving Arizona by the thousands.

Texas hates everybody that isn't Texas. Just because they were a country on their own for about....a year.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

if this is true.  it is the best possible solution.

i hope other states will follow and that we can finally get a more robust and practical immigration policy to allow those who have played by the rules to make a permanent idealogical choice and join us as citizens in this great country.
this thread is doomed.

It's true.

I don't think it will change anything but the crime rate.
Apparently, one in five people in the world are Chinese. And there are five people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother, Colin. Or my younger brother, Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin. - Tim Vine.

I saw a dem talking head get all weapy eyed over the fact that Romney found out that his lanscaping company had illegals and fired them.  He was all distraught that all them minimum wage workers lost there yobs for political points.

I truely think that this will be a more defining issue in the next election than Iraq.  The repub that gets the strogest anti-illegal endorsment wins the primary.

Making it the key issue will be the whole trick, though. Iraq is still at the forefront of the news, and thus, everyone's mind. And any Repub. attempt's to swing the issue will be construed as "Trying to hide Iraq? You want us to stay there, then" and will be hard to get changed to the real problem facing this country-illegal immigration.
