It had to wait until I got the new computer, but I finally got these scanned.....

It was VERY early in my radio career (1982).  I had already interviewed him twice on my talk show, and these photos are at the Waukegan, IL Airshow where he agreed to yet another "on-the-spot" interview.

(This was back when I weighed about 100 pounds more than I do now, and yes, go ahead with the "80's Hair" jokes...it was OK way back then)

:)

The interviews were AMAZING...I wish I had them on tape.

I was 18 in 1982.  Had a absolute blast from 1978 to 1988, then I got suckered into a job

Rox...

 Congratulations on Greeting/meeting/interviewing Pappy B.

In the books that I've read, He was quite the influence-- People, Times..  and Aviation.

to me.... he looks just like the "Pappy" he was revered for....  there are not that many pics of him in later life.

Apparently, one in five people in the world are Chinese. And there are five people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother, Colin. Or my younger brother, Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin. - Tim Vine.

I soberd up enough in 82 to realize i had joined the US ARMY, so I got drunk again.

Not to mention "under the influence".
