Where's that base?????

Would it be possible to have a command that will center the map on the designated base.

When you open up the Task Group tab you can double click on the TG and it will center your map on the TG. I'd like to see something like this for regular bases.

.see 112 for example would center your map on base 112.

Oft times there will be a request to hit a particular enemy base and the requestor will not provide grid co-ords. With a command like this it would be easy to see where the base is that needs hit.

Also when a base gets taken, you could use this command to quickly find the base and determine if a quick counterstrike is feasable.

There is a command for this already. Lets say you wanted to move to field 5. You'd type this:

.move 5

Don't type "A5" or "V5" or "P5", Just .move 5, and it will bring you to the tower of that base.

This only lets you look at allied bases, though. I like your idea.

I right click on any base, click 'show A## status, and scroll down the list on the right to the specified base. Lights it up in nice white on the map.

Latrobe, thats something I hadnt thought of. It does work, but on the large maps, the base you want to look at might be on the other side of the map from where you are currently fighting. But, a quick zoom out, then back in seems to work.

Just a quick suggestion to add to Latrobe's post. If you're on the other half of the "large map". Click down on the map and drag, it moves the display. That way you can zoom in on the selected base although you're on the other half. To center over your position, switch to one base then back to the original base.

I know I'm stating the obvious, but you'd have to have some system for CVs
otherwise, I like the idea
