Well, I, Solar10, and Cablmndr gave it our best, but apparently it is not proving out. I thought we had it worked out that Friday nights would be our squad night, but ultimately I am the only one out of eight active members that had time to commit to it, overall.

I and others have been promoting this idea since August, and it seems I have attracted members that are interested, but coincidently have had next to no time (for the past four months) for such a thing. I'm done trying.

to all of you that have expressed support.

P.S. If I ever do choose to try again, my request would be that if you don't have time, don't ask.

Its hard work maintaining a small squad.   Some nights you get everyone on and have a blast and others you could have only 2 or 3 guys.

We don't have a squad night because it isnt feasible.  With everyone in different jobs, different shifts it isnt practical.   Then there are the guys who play alot and then not at all.     The bottom line is that the game is second to RL.  As long as you have a core group of regulars you should be able to do ok.

My main recruiting policy is to get guys in the same time zone to join.  That in itself is hard enough when people do their own thing or join American squads and get lost.

Sorry to hear it didn't work out for you thundereggs.

I appreciate the sentiment, guys. Bruv, Ranger, Storch. After thinking about this a bit, one thing I have a hard time adjusting to is that when I was Co-XO of the BOPs, I had no problem getting people organized. There was always enough guys on to fly with and have fun. Not so now, unless I tune in to another squad's channel. (Thanks guys, for allowing us to do so.)

When I formed this squad, I wanted the same thing, but not quite so big. But, as it turns out, I and a few others went completely from one end of the spectrum to the other.

Really, I was only looking for 12 or so members at the most. Hopefully it would have been enough that there would have been people to fill in the gaps for those that couldn't partake in squad night due to real life priorities.

I have always tried to respect those that couldn't make time for something frivolous like Aces High, and I will continue to do so. I can relate to them, as I have three rowdy boys, a wife, my job, and plenty of worries.

I guess we'll see what the future holds. For now, there is no point in a squad name for members that don't have the time.

we have our squad by choice at twelve active members.  it's pretty easy to do so for us.  you may read about it if you desire in our squad web page and the link is my sig line.  I'm sure that how we run our squad would anathema to a squad like the BoPs though.

We dont have squad nights either Thunder....It's just to hard to work out with so many different schedules and time zones.

Don't give up on it tho.

Squads are much more than just a squad night.

Best wishes to whatever ya decide.....sorry to hear your probs tho.

Thunderegg.

After having the opportunity to fly a mission with you this past weekend, theres no doubt that you either end up in a great squad, or lead one. Either way, your an asset to the game and the community. So, chin up , have fun and dont worry about it mate.:)

Thanks, guys. I'll try to log on some more this week, and definitely this weekend. We've had a bit of stomach flu floating around. Haven't been feeling real great, lately.
