A letter of Introduction
« on: December 10, 2007, 06:47:19 AM »
Greetings,

I'm Revrence, and had the sudden urge to introduce myself to the community of Aces High. What can one say? When someone is part of a community one should feel obliged to introduce themselves to the rest.

As everyone can tell, I'm new to Aces High. In fact this is my third week of online play. I do how ever have some experience with Flight Sims. Starting out with Microsoft Flight sim 3.0 and working my way up from there. From old Bi-Planes to games like Advanced Tactical Fighters, Of course that latter was back in the mid to late nineties.

I was also a very good newb and read the majority of the manual and spent about a week before I came into the Online game. I for one like spending a little time getting to know what I'm jumping into to. Although I must admit flying around and shooting down the drones was much different than what it is in the MA's.

So far I have done nothing but meet people who have been great and helpful with the questions I do have. And in general all the players are good people. Especially those who have taken me under their wing and have given me the chance to not only learn from them. But also to be part of a closer team than what the Country can do in General.

So I thank you for your friendship and Help 5th SFG "S.O.A.R." . Truly I am proud and Honored to be part of the Squad. It didn't take long at all to feel like I was part of the group. In fact I think it was within ten minutes of Joining up and making some stupid mistakes and having everyone be helpful and lending what advice that they could.

Everyone else. Its going to take some time But I truly look forward to get to know you. I always look forward to meet new people and look forward to helping those who I can, Lending support to not only my squad but to my Countrymen and Shooting down all others who attempt to stop me from doing that :)

Im not the worst stick out there. Nor am I the best. I still make my mistakes like everyone else. And I still need work like everyone else in my ACM's but once again. S.O.A.R. Has been a wonderful help with that.

So heres looking to the wonderful fights that we will all share in some form or another.

Welcome, Revrence.  This is a great place.  Like the Hotel California, you can check out, but you can never leave, as many have already proven.

Make sure you stop by the Axis v Allies arena.

Welcome to the addiction fella :D

If you do stop by the AvA - if you see a spit going down in flames, wave as I go past, as that will be me - some good sticks in there (obviously not including me...lol)

Welcome to your addiction Revrence. This is a great community, full of great people. Enjoy yourself!

When you get time away from the MA's, swing on over to http://www.AHEvents.org and check out the special events that run through AHII almost daily. There is something for everyone! I know that Eaglehrt is looking into FSO for the S.O.A.R. gang. I think you guys will have a blast in FSO!

Anyway, welcome to the community. Have fun and beware of the Ewe's; they lie about their age :D

Apparently, one in five people in the world are Chinese. And there are five people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother, Colin. Or my younger brother, Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin. - Tim Vine.

So, As far as I can understand, from what I have been reading. My family will soon be telling me... "Put the Flight Stick Down, Step away from the stick."

Why didn't this game come with a Disclaimer like they have on Cigarettes :cry

Welcome Reverence01,

Some friendly advice:

1. Don't eat the yellow snow!

2. Stay off channel 200 (unless you've got a strong stomach)

3. See rules #1 and # 2.

4. Have fun. Play the game YOUR way.
