The END of the Bishop Hoard
« on: December 12, 2007, 10:08:55 AM »
I've always flown with the Bishops, and have seen and participated in  the "hoard" that is so lamented and dispised (on this forum), although personally I like squad sized operations. Lately though that has changed... It has been a such long time since I've had to deal with ENY that I am getting spoiled by having the entire planeset available ALL the time.

My instincts are to attack and keep the initative, but it has been hard to keep any kind of momentum going when outnumbered 3-2 on such a regular basis.

I deal with being outnumbered as it presents itself, but can anyone think of a better way to keep the sides more balanced than the ENY system we currently enjoy? Increase the ENY for the biggest side? Prevent the largest side from having new players logging on until more equity is present?

Also is this condition (fighting short handed) cyclical with all of the countries? Does every "dog" indeed have it's day in the AH2 world?

It was so bad last night at 10 PM Pacific time [112-96-68] (Titanic Tuesday) that I suggested (jokingly) that all of us Bish switch countries in mass... (like that would ever happen)

Down range is no longer clear... Firers, pull back the charging handle on your .50 cals and watch your lane!

hmmmmm lets see... ENY has been around only for a few years, I'm sure HTC never even bothered to think about how it would work or anything and just threw it into the game. I suppose that there might be different ways of helping to keep the side balance in check, and maybe a "search" might bring one or two up.

Basically its much like the "collision" issue. With the way things are, and people play (thinking switching side is cheating, or spying) its as good as its going to get. Each team gets hit by it at one time or another ( if you switch teams now and then you can see it for your self) you just deal with it as you can.

Yes.  Completely normal.

BTW MajIssue, I ran into a Bish 27 ENY in one of the arenas last week.  I logged out and went to the arena we were outnumbered in, the point being if there is ENY to deal with you're in the wrong arena... they don't NEED more help.

I cant even make sense out of this post?  Is he mad cause ENY was too high for him? ....or is he mad at having too many enemy to fight?

If ENY is high....you have the advantage in numbers....so shut up

If the enemy has number advantage you have no ENY issues ...that means "Target rich" environment ....something I like alot!

....what the hell are you talking about ?

This thread (21 pages ;)) can be considered the birth of ENY.
Many possible options were discussed before finally settling down  with the solution we currently have.

One year ago, shortly after the arena split, there were some discussions & eventually tests of different methods of balancing again. Didn't work out.

I flew against the Bishops all night long, mainly 31st because of the hording. I actually didn't mind it because once the horde ran out of steam the bish were losing bases faster then they were taking them. Mind I dont mind the horde, Its just when 2 entire countries on one that has smaller numbers that gets annoying.

Then again im preaching, kk thx bye.

Eny to high? stop flying La7's and Spit 16s and learn to fly a real plane.

too many enemies to fight? Learn better SA.

Advantage in numbers? So boom and zoom and run like everyone else.

They are all cartoon planes. No real planes in AH2 at all.

Our Squad policy is to try and goto the country with the least amount of players on average per month.   This is the main reason we have never really been Bish.

Seems some of the better Bish squads came Knights at the same time we did.   Knights have been battered for well over the last year or so by BOTH sides.

Bish have been outnumbered when I have been about recently.  (Good they deserve to be pillaged for all their worth the scumbags)  oh did i say that out loud :p

May be heading their way if I could convince myself and the rest of my squad to do so.  Only ever done 1 full tour there.
