AH website question
« on: December 05, 2007, 10:11:33 AM »
I've been having problems getting the AH website to load properly the last couple of days. The page starts to load then locks up before the nav bar or main page contents show up. I have to kill the browser (ie 7 in this case) I haven't changed any FW or AV settings and It's only happend at the AH site. I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem? Btw, I can get to the bbs just fine when I follow the email link.

Thanks,

Probably a security setting in IE7.  Microsoft changed the default security settings in IE7 and it is causing a lot of people problems as they are not used to having a somewhat secured installation of IE on their computer.

I have to use IE7 under Vista, and it seems to be fine.

Try adding our site to your "Trusted Sites" zone in the security panel of the "Inrternet Options".

Did you set the defaults for the security zones?  By default, MS sets them all to be the same.  You have to press the "default" button to get them set correctly.  Just a thought.

Did you happen to load Sun's Java module?  I know that it can cause problems, but it causes problems with a lot of sites.

Well I tried just about every combination of the IE security sttings I could think of to no avail. I installed FireFox and it worked fine BTW.

The new IE update released today seems to have fixed the IE problem. thanks for your help Skuzzy, MS can be such a pain. :)
