I Just Want To Play!

Hello all,

I am having major issues with this program.  I am on an HP Pavilion dv6324...that may be the whole issue right there.  I tryed using the offline practice and it was working fine.  Tried online arenas and it would instantly lock up.

This thing has Vista Home Premium and I did all of the things that Skuzzy said to do and no it will work for a little longer than lock up the whole computer in online arenas, offline practice and just on the internet in general.

I am on a wireless setup which I dont know if that makes a difference either.  

Any help would be appreciated.  I really like the game I  just want to be able to play it.

Well it's a notebook first off.  These typically don't work too well with gaming.

Next it's Vista with a dual-core AMD processor... so you're going to have to run it in Windows 98 compatibility mode.

Geforce 6150 graphics...  wow... I'd go maximum 256 textures.

You might try adjusting the power settings to turn off "battery saving" or whatever Vista calls it now.. as this might be a power issue.

Make sure you've got a good solid connection through your wireless

i thought there was a bug, where if you played OFFline, then in the same session, tried going ONline, AH would lock up?


I know it would on my old laptop, guaranteed, every time. so I have not even tried since with new laptop..

I would just try firing up AH, and go straight to Online arenas, dont go into any other arena first.  worth a try!

Run the dxdiag, and post the first third here. Also, hit , and check to see how many processes you have running. next, list the settings you use in the game, texture size, preloads, and such.

With all this information, the people here might be able to suggest a way for you to get your system to run Aces High, but with out it, all they will be doing is walking around kicking the tires
