Wow what a mess here in the midwest, rained Monday night and all day Tues,  Tuesday morning the trees started to give in to the weight of the ice forming on them and at the peek of the day a limb was comming down every 30 sec or sooner.   All over town yo could hear them even a small branch made a big crash from all the ice on it.

Where you at chrish? I'm in Phoenix but headed to Tulsa in January. My newly purchased house in Tulsa has some "tree damage"

Apparently, one in five people in the world are Chinese. And there are five people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother, Colin. Or my younger brother, Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin. - Tim Vine.

I fondly remember the beauty of ice storms in the midwest growing up, but I sure as hell don't miss them.

Impressive report and photos.

Even in Northern Virginia we sometimes get ice storms that stop all outside activity.

I knew one ice storm was certifiably bad when I looked out the front window and saw our agile teenage son CRAWLING across the yard because he couldn't stand up on the frozen grass!

ice storms are by no means state wide every year,  last time this town seen anything like this was almost 10 yrs ago,  and just a few winters ago it was warm enough to use the grill untill after Christmas.

Man it is bad here.

Stay in AZ until after Jan... maybe it'll be cleaned up by then.

Not a tree over 15 ft here any longer.  Shattered, down, wasted.
