T-72: Balkans on Fire
« on: December 15, 2007, 04:41:47 PM »
Years ago on my Atari 1040 STFM I had M1 tank Platoon...

I played the hell out of it and the Tank bug has hit me again, I am thinking of buying T-72: Balkans on Fire, its half price at one of the shops near where i work...

has any one played it, can anyone give me their opinion compared to the old M1 Tank platoon....

thanks

M1 Tank Platoon was a truly awesome game.

What are the great modern tanking games?

The original steel beasts is pretty cool. The graphics stink, no 3d, but the game itself is fun. I'm not willing to shell out $125 for a computer game just yet, but I'm eagerly awaiting the release of SBII.
I tried playing the T72 demo, but the graphics were pretty choppy on my machine.

Me neither. I got a copy for free since I belonged to the technical advisor team quite a while ago. Dont play it anymore, though, but its the most realistic stuff next to true military simulators there is for the public. Pro Pe is a spin-off of customized military training sims for PCs, used by various Militaries, West Point Academy for example, or the Danish and Swedich Militaries, amongst many others.

I wonder if there will be a German campaign, or just a Russian?

Every one of these things I've bought turns out to be online-only (despite what box says)

LOL

I went to EB (the store) and they said that i had called the other store in the city, 20 minute walk later I am told that they have the box but the discs are missing.....

So I grabbed a copy of enemy engaged 2....

I get back to work and print the manual on the printer...

it starts printing and keeps printing and printing and printing and printing

500 pages of manual LOL

it looks pretty good, but I am gonna have to get myself track IR, its got a virtual cockpit and such, its also got voice control of wing men ect....

gonna take me a while to get a feel for it, will give you guys a review once I can fly properly....

I am gonna keep looking for another copy of T-72, from the reviews i read it sounds prety good....
