i was watching a show on the wing channel the other day on the 8th airforce in ww2... during some of the gun film i noticed rounds going into the wing area where the gear was stored and noticed how when this area took damage the gear came down... i can only think that this was caused by damge to the gear mechanisim and how it would cause a good amount of drag and wondered if it was modeled this way in here....so when i was up in a lance yesterday and got attacked and took damage to both landing gear i hit the outside view and noticed nether had come down... and wonder if maybe they hadn't told the graphics to do this and it just induced the drag without the graphics or if they just hadn't modeled this... i realize there is alot of stuff in this world to model and this could be a very lo priority... but could add another item to think about during battle instead of just during landing...

If someone shoots up your car with a 0.50 machinegun, there is a chance that a bullet will hit a shift lever in such way as to shift your gear. May be even tune your radio... But it is not guaranteed to happen every time.

Hi All,
I've bought this up before in the dim & distant past but I'll mention it again here.

One thing I would dearly like to see modelled in AH is the damage to engines in bombers affecting the appropriate services. In a lanc for instance specific engines drove the generators which allowed the turrets etc to move. It would be nice if the appropriate turrets could be disabled after an engine hit. (The guns could still fire and move up and down but not from side to side). to see exactly what the different engines are responsible for in a Lanc for instance look here.
