Hahaa - my first little movie :)
« on: December 27, 2007, 08:42:03 AM »
Just a simple one - main goal was to figure the procedure out, and secondly not to look to gamey - that is, keep it clean of icons, text and radio buffer.

Recorded in TA with TrackIR and no icons using FRAPS - edited in Sony Vegas - and uploaded to youtube

Now I just need to figure out the plot to my next large-scale Hollywood production.... :noid

I enjoyed that film very much. Talk with Kermit a little and determine what you need to do to get the best quality out of your films. Other than that you ran it through some nice filters to give it a more realistic look. I enjoyed your use of soundtracks as opposed to music. I feel soundtracks allow more energy to come out of dueling scenes because you don't have to listen to the lyrics from someone. However I must admit that the second soundtrack was "out-of-place" for this type of film.

Anyways, great film!:aok

Thank you Denholm - and I agree about the music. The great score from "Once Upon A Time In The West" faded out way too fast, and in my rush to get the production done I just threw another harmonica played western score "High Noon" at the end. But its to lightly - hasn't got the drama - instead I should have looped a part of the first score :)

Yes, some soundtracks work while others don't always fit the shoe. An example of one would be a film of Japanese Zeros / Zekes escorting KI67s to their destination when they get jumped by allied forces. The soundtrack, "The way of the Sword" from, "The Last Samurai" would work perfectly with such a film. It has the perfect energy for a massive furball, an absolute masterpiece of sound.

Nice work Lengro. I'd like to try the TrackIr, but too poor to afford one. It sure makes for a good video.

lol Bat - you can't perform a decent auger - I've showned you how to do it so many times - but failed to teach you that skill. Judged from this guy aerovid's videos I would say you and him got the same mediocre auger style :t :lol
