How about...you go design your own game and you can do what you want to it.

Here is a COLOR photo of the USS ESSEX in WWII. Do you see any colorfull flags or nifty paintjob? It's a Navy ship. They are all painted grey. What we have in game is HISTORICALY accurate.

The Iowa class BB's were indeed used in WWII. Only 4 were built with the 5th and 6th ships of the class scrapped before they were completed.

USS Iowa BB-61
USS New Jersey BB-62
USS Missouri BB-63
USS Wisconsin BB-64
USS Illinois BB-65 (not completed)
USS Kentucky BB-66 (not completed)

The 4 completed ships all served in the Pacific during WWII and Korea. The USS New Jersey was reactivated for one year during Vietnam in 1968 and served 1 tour of duty in theater before being decomisioned again. In the early 1980's all 4 were brought back to active duty and served for several years before being decomissioned for the last time. The Iowa was decomisioned in 1990 after an explosion in one of her turrets. New Jersey was decomsioned in Febuary 1991. The Missouri and Wisconsin did serve in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm in 1991 and both were decomisioned within a year after the Gulf War.

I used to drive past this everyday on the way to work. The CVN in the background is the USS Enterprise on her way to drydock at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.

Here is a trivia question for everyone though. Of the 4 Iowa class BB's built which one is the largest and why is it larger than the other 3?

I'm going to guess here and say the Wisconsin is the "largest" (I guess you mean longest?) by way of her bow being damaged in a collision, she had the bow of the Kentucky grafted on her, as BB-65 & 66 were intended to be larger Iowa's.

But that's my guess.

Ding Ding Ding....we have a winner. Yes sir, the Wisconsin is 11 feet longer and several tons heavier  than the other three Iowa class BB's.

The Wisconsin was built to the same specs as the other three Iowa class BB's but she had a colision with a destroyer in 1958 or there abouts and had to have her bow replaced. They grafted the bow off the Kentucky which was designed as a larger version of the Iowa class BB's and she ended up 11 feet longer and heavier than the other three Iowa's. Therefor she is the largest battleship ever to have served in the US Navy and the largest of the Iowa class BB's.

It's a small distinction but trivia never the less.

Ahem... CV-16... The U.S.S. Lexington was not painted Grey during WWII.

Hey Yoshi, what's that ship's name?
-The Lexington.
Didn't we sink her the other month at Coral Sea?
-Yes... why yes we did...
Now she's back... and its blue...
-Uhh... sink it again!

Several weeks later.
Hey Yoshi, what's that ship's name?
-Uhh... intercepts say.. its the Lexington.
Didn't we sink her the other night?
-Yes... why yes we did...
Its still blue.
-Uhh... sink it again!

Several months later.
Hey Yoshi, what's that ship's name?
-Uhh... Lex-ing-ton...
I know for a fact we sank her months ago!
-Yes... why yes we did...
And its a brighter shade of blue!
-Uhh... sink it again!

Several months later.
Yoshi, that stupid ugly blue thing is back!
-The Lexington?
What other ship in that fleet is blue?!
-The 4 other Lexingtons we sank?
We have no choice this time!  We shall have to sink it personally ourselves!
-Uhh... okay.

American Pilot, several weeks later.
Y'know Joe, you might be on that fancy new Carrier 'n all... but when all those ships are together in a fleet, I know exactly which one I have to land on.
-That's because your stupid ship is blue... lucky dog... I actually landed on the Hornet yesterday, they laughed at me all day... even let me get down to the bunk section before telling me I was on the wrong ship.

why?

Why?

The B25 was only used once off of a CV. It would be a wasted effort. Rather see another bomber or fighter. Or a battle ship would be nice. And if the CV was bigger it would be even easier to kill with buff's then they are now.

Ok, sure, let them launch B-25s off a CV.

But with a limited bomb load and broom handles for guns. Which is how the Doolittle Raiders did it.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.
