Just kidding...  I honestly could care less who wins... but it is fun to land kills!

Seriously though.. prior to the demise of h2h I found a nice groove and was winning often... and some guys who came in cold from the MAs to fly in h2h and didn't know me exhibited intimidating and very scary reactions to that. :O

The mature h2h regulars (some of which were MA pilots) watched me develop over time from knowing how to fly, but knowing nothing initially about dog fighting, to gaining some skill and they were very cool and supportive about it and helped me.

I am intimidated to fly in the MAs now... some have too much self-esteem at stake to tolerate a woman shooting them down or competing with them and are very critical of me. It only takes one or two bad apples to totally spoil it.

I wish h2h, but not free h2h,  would be turned back on... it was just a friendlier cozier environment with my own arena, thus abusive peeps could be booted without fanfare.

Now, with h2h gone, Aces High has ceased to be a co-ed friendly environment, in my opinion.

I just want to have a good time around friendly people who don't bombard anyone with abrasive attitudes and vulgar and threatening language and whom are fun to be around and develolp skills and work as a team.

Having the .eject command for bad eggs made ALL the difference.

It's all gone now.

Why is it HiTech can not see his way clear to provide h2h only for subscribing MA pilots?

I don't know why I even ask.. Dale Addink nor anyone else at HighTech Creations cares in the least and never will... that much is obvious.

TIGERESS
It's the internet, their attitudes or words can really do no harm, so it shouldn't bother you.  Talk smack back and shoot them down.  If anything it's the guys who should be scared of getting their butts waxed by a girl, not the other way around.

That seems extremely unsanitary.

Lol, Mac, if you saw some of the "tantrums" when I do something stupid and get shot down - you'd rip me a new one in no time flat.........:D

Tigress, despite not really engaging in the more "potentially argumentative" threads (well, too much anyway", I think if you left the BBS and AH, it would be a shame.

Dont worry about what people say or do, fly n shoot em down.......(you got me a while ago in my pretty little, newly washed n waxed, c47 - was a nice fly up behind me (yep, I was watching...lol...) and bam - tower.

Keep it going, if you killed me in a fair fight, I'd salute ya - mind, I salute those who dont kill me in a fair fight (if I see one starting, I'll try and kill em before it gets too deep into it - that way I cant complain...:D )

This is only a bbs (a good one, but still a bbs) and should be treated as such. Whilst arguments happen, even heated ones, they are only words and peoples perceptions are based on words - nothing personal.

My 0.000002 whatevers worth..

I'm the worst pilot ingame ya know!!!

It's all unrealistic crap requested by people who want pie in the sky actions performed without an understanding of how things work and who can't grasp reality.

I'm a sore loser whenever we play PHASE 10.  If you like cards check out this game because it is GREAT!

It's alot like Gin but easier to learn.  Anywho, we shuffle and shuffle and no matter what, when we play with my mother in law she allways seems to lay down on her first hand.  This absolutly infuriates me.....this old woman with glasses that cant hear and doesnt have all her senses as it is freakin winning hand after hand on the draw.   GRRRRR!

anyhow, if your looking for a fun card game to play with the family check it out, the set is only a couple of bucks at wall mart.

The electronic battleship is crap. Original rocks ~ that's the one we were playing.
Also, wooden tiles for scrabble are waaaay better than the plastic crap.

I have the original battleship. You should get your sons on an AH battleship...you could setup LAN play with a CV map. :)

I'm also thinking of buying the new electronic version of monopoly.  It includes a swipe card to deduct funds and such.  My wife has a tenacity to cheat when she's the banker.

BUT,  phase 10 has been an awsome improvment to our line up of family games.  I got real burned out on YATZEE

LOL about your wife being the banker.  It would do wonders in our house to use the electronic one, but I won't buy it. Half the fun is flipping through & taking half an hour to count your money in front of your losing opponent. :lol

we like mancala & connect 4 as well.  i used to like stratego, but can't find a store around here with the original ~ all they sell now are Harry Potter stratego, or Lord of the Rings Stratego ~ those versions suck.

True that.  To be completly honest the wife and I cheat when we have friends over too.  I don't like it but the Marine in me says "cheat to win and win often" so I usually go with it LOL.  ;)

However with normal house play I think it definatly does alot to level the playing field.

Hey, if you go to the 'doll house' section of Hobby Lobby or Michaels ~ get the dice that goes along with the doll house accessories.  Get 5 or 6 handheld magnifying glasses & try yatzee that way. :)

Or get the goofy giant fuzzy dice from a car store & use those.
