Squad text and squad vox arent monitored, all others are either by filter or human. It's a business decision made by the company. I'd imagine if it weren't so, the squeakers would be biggest PITA---if you've ever played most any online war game, you'd see what would happen

I'd like to say that all FCC approved words for daytime television should be allowed but then I feel I would begin to hate the game and some of it's players for abusing the privilege. I would begin to dread having to read or hear the constant flaming of other pilots if those words were admitted into the game.

I say " GOOD CALL HTC!!" Keep the ban on all FCC approved words off this game and continue to boot as seen fit.  Sorry 3kilo, thats the way it should be and somewhere it must be mentioned as so before you pay your money. If not, do what ya got to do

BTW:  Thanks for letting squads talk freely on their own vox channels. Some of our jokes just would not be funny using words like poop, female dog, cat butt, women who love sex with anyone, rich cranium,  ect. ect.

i'm just not funny enough to think of more off the top of my head but you get the picture. LOL

better re-read them TOS descriptions again...........

most everyone gets muted/warned/or even ejected at least once ............ it's the online way  :aok

as for someone who is also ex-military.......I for one am able to control what I say or type for the most part.is really not that hard.......and think it is lowering ons self to have to take those extra few seconds to type in a"masked" vulgar word or even say it on a VOX channel........

the point is always clear on what people say or take the time to type...that if they wanted to at all, they could have more easily left it out to start with.......

nice for your 1st post........shades or not......

legal issue

You have got to be kidding me!  Come back to reality sir.

It's a business & they have the right to ban you if they see fit.  51 years old or not, if you say something that gets you banned you deserved it.  YOU HAVE A CHOICE when it comes to bringing up your text buffer and typing what you think.

Yet another user who's letter that could have been sent to HTC or spoken to HTC Staff over the phone.   When will people learn proper etiquette?

It may be predominantly adult but there are also children who like to play and it doesn't create a positive environment for them or a good picture for their parents when they see or heard people cussing like sailors.  As previously stated, it's their business and their right to do with it what they please.  Rules are there for a reason, if you have a problem with them then the phone number is posted or you can e mail them at support@hitechcreations.com

I'm not sure, but was his last sentence a legal threat? Just for the record there is no way you could win this one legally 3kilo. "Freedom of Speech" means the US government will permit you to express your beliefs and opinions, however non-governmental businesses may have regulations that don't allow this. Also... the "freedom of speech" does not mean the use of profanity. Similar cases have already made their way up to the supreme court and they ruled in favorof the businesses or organizations doing the censoring.

I look at it like this....

If you pay a Cab Driver to come to my House and you cuss up a storm and I throw you out are you actually gonna sue me and the Cab Driver?

Guess again hero.

Mac

BTW does the term "ExMilitary" give you the right to be inconsiderate of others?

3kilo,
At 51 you must have learned some constraint. The military environment itself is very efficient at teaching people what's appropriate.
I've never been muted or kicked (though I have been skuzzified once :O) and I've done time in military service as well.
I find it INconceivable that you would have been booted without good reason.
