flak problem?
« on: January 06, 2008, 06:07:17 PM »
I have tried using flak from a ship and it doesn't explode when I fire it like it does when others fire flak guns. I know that I am not mistaking machine guns for flak guns because these are singles shot 8" and 5" guns.

Thanks.

The only guns that will explode in the air are the 5inch guns. They only explode when you hit in close proximity to the plane you are targeting.

Also want to make sure you are firing the proper ammunition.  The 5" can fire proximity fused anti-aircraft rounds and standard high explosive shells.

go to offline practice and use targeted gunsight against the drones will give you some idea of lead +its fun to watch b24's explode over and over.

in any sort of manned gun its much easier to hit when a target comes straight at you just aim a little lower or higher depending on their flight path relative to your rounds.

I found out that it takes a 5" shell 2 seconds to travel 3K yesterday. I sure had fun then :D .
